That's some real crappy puzzle design there... Stick you in a dark room with a candle you arbitrarily can't light, then make lighting it the way to get out?
Not just that, everything is designed to waste your time. Scrounging around for fuses, it wasn't a puzzle, just busy work. Making you watch a sequence to get the code key (and probably write it down) more time wasting. It's all just filler because the puzzle could be solved in minutes potentially. If you like puzzle solving, The Room and The Room Two (haven't played Three yet) are a lot more interesting and jam packed with puzzles especially compared to this game.
@@AwfulPlayerVids I mean, technically any puzzle is designed to waste time. Myst is a game that can take...days, for some people to finish, if they've never played it. But when you know the answers you can literally finish it in about five minutes.
I don't know if people think they are clever or they honestly don't understand. If you can't tell the difference between being presented a puzzle and being given pointless tasks to do, I don't know that I can help you. If I say "How can you give me 41 cents using 9 coins?" there is a specific solution and you can figure it out. If I say "I buried 9 coins on the beach, dig them up and tell me the total" that's fucking busy work. I didn't play much of the original Myst, my friend had it. It did seem to involve a lot of walking around the island aimlessly, but that was from the perspective of a kid.
Ah haha.... at the end when you see completed in "44:51" you can tell how much fussing around they had to cut out. But the "Riddle Bros" did it in the end! Good jorb!
0:47 - Thanks for also adding in the Quiz Time background music, Josh. Those more subtle edits may not always be mentioned, but they're always appreciated. I'm really glad that style's still around on the channel (and sometimes is happening a tiny bit on other Yogs vids as well).
Oooookay, the key to the second room's exit is in a candle... That's a stupid place to hide it. Hands up. If you had to do this puzzle in real life, who would've lit the candle the moment you could do so? If I were in the room, I would've lit it in order to have more light. The entire puzzle hinges on you being stupid enough _not_ to do something logical like lighting a candle in a dark room.
Not to mention that the lighter and candle is one of the few things you could actually interact with. Also, it makes zero sense the you can't light it before putting some darts in a dart board. I assumed it was bugged or something.
i wonder if the other sins are more related to their actual gameplay. not that its a different puzzle, but if lust is a scare chase or greed is a collect quest. sloth was so much paperwork and sitting on one screen for 45 minutes mathing it out, because its just that, sloooooooooow
The book can be a relic of the Bristol pusher, get Lewis to sign the last page in invisible ink that can only be seen with heat and lemon juice or whatever combination is needed xD
Well, kinda dark, haha, but otherwise I kinda liked how much actually went into that puzzle! Getting a little notebook out to write stuff in can be quite fun, and I like that it was kind of needed in order to solve this one! Maybe not ideal for all computer puzzle games, but I thought it was cool here!
to be fair, if you were locked in that room in real life, the first thing you would do is light the candle and you'd probably notice the key immediately.
You didn't need to write down every number/letter pattern from the TV. All you had to do was write down the pattern you needed from the dart board, and then reference the TV for those 6 characters.
I actually have no idea how that worked... Probably could have done it eventually or just given up. xD I would love that book though! Would make an awesome piece of memorabilia
The Angory Tom channel as well as the Yogscast Lewis & Simon channel are the best channels on UA-cam. The hint at a potential prize has in no way affected my comment.
The Riddle Bros dun did it again! Tune in next time when the Riddle Bros will continue their quest, to unlock the mysteries of the world, one riddle at a time! (Or at least get out of the room they're currently locked up in!)
Damn, they got paid off by the "forgiveness Overlords" - FIRST of all, you knew the other version was a demo lol. SECONDLY that whole thing is still in the main game, so it's more than just a tech demo if it's also a level of the game. I'm on to you. Invasion of the body snatchers or some shit going on right now.
Don't mind me just making a comment here. It's totally not like I'd love a book of riddle bros ciphers and nonsense in the indeterminate future. Oh that and it probably helps with algorithms and stuff. Good vid :)
I was watching this video, when I realized: hatfilms and madcat uploaded Sips related videos. I miss him there, on UA-cam (Twitch is a bit different experience), with his great editing and real guy the best guy himself. Tom, you're our last hope on this platform : *

The theme of the room is Sloth.... which equates to WASTING TIME >.> If anything it makes me wonder how well the themes after present themselves
@@AwfulPlayerVids It's literally a escape room. They're all designed to waste your time.

Watching the Riddle Bros in action always makes me wish that they would play through at least one of the Professor Layton games.
Agreed so much!

The game needs either an "F for Flashlight" mechanic or give the player two arms to work with
Bless the editor who typed out all of the riddle notes
Wow! Lighting a candle in a dark room! Who would have guessed that'd hold the key to their escape!

wait.. _so did they choose food or sex?_
Glad to see someone’s willing to ask the important questions.
Obviously food if your stuck in barren desert which would you need.
Yes.
The mouse was over food and he clicked literally a second later, so I know what I choose to believe.
Actually it was moved over to sex before the click happened, look closely

Or maybe, lazy enough to not do it?
But yeah. That is crap design.
@@JhonnyB694 You could say it was... lazy design.

I would not have been able to solve that 😂. Well done the brains of Tom and Simon!
This channels so under rated it's pure content gold. Tom and Simon work so well together.

Exactly. Sloth = wasting time on purpose I'm curious now and hope to see more
I love it how the quiz time music starts up when they're doing the quiz xD
Great little detail.
it's always nice to sit down with some tea, a bit of cake and geT ANGORY WITH TOM AND SIMON DOING MORE PUZZLE GAMES!! :))
The book can be a relic of the Bristol pusher, get Lewis to sign the last page in invisible ink that can only be seen with heat and lemon juice or whatever combination is needed xD
jesus christ. props to whoever edited this for bothering to mockup the riddle notes!
Olliepop I agree...
We don’t get enough Tom and Simon these days!
So happy to get Angory.
I love that Tom think he will have filled out that book in a years time
I want an indecipherable book of nonsense
I mean, if the book does end up being given away I'd sure love some indecipherable scribbles for some reason!
That book will become one of humanity's greatest mysteries in a few thousand years
I would not be able to do this game. I'm awful at escape rooms. Also if they were serious about winning the book I definitely want it!

The Riddle Journal is my new favourite riddle bro.
Damn Lydia looks fine in this.
I love the transition to the quiz time music
Play more resident evil with that simon guy who’s very handsome
hi-fucking-larious
Can't wait to see the way that serial killer book will look after this game is done.
Its amazing how much better Tom looks with a little bit of beard :D
That riddle bros image... ive just noticed.... oh lord how did it take me this long to notice... its huge...
I really don't do well at logic puzzles, if I was locked in a room like that I'd never make it out. Go Riddle Bros!
to be fair, if you were locked in that room in real life, the first thing you would do is light the candle and you'd probably notice the key immediately.
@8:54 lmao classic!
You didn't need to write down every number/letter pattern from the TV. All you had to do was write down the pattern you needed from the dart board, and then reference the TV for those 6 characters.
I'll take a free serial killer book.
So the code they made notes of is just literally in braille?
Riddle Bros so good at their job they got to the candle first.... think about it...
I actually have no idea how that worked... Probably could have done it eventually or just given up. xD
I would love that book though! Would make an awesome piece of memorabilia
Best series on your channel...escapes rooms!!!! Do one in real life!!!
I love riddle bros
lol when you thought simon realized the colored darts but actually nothing.....

I thought for sure the color of the dart mattered some how.
It did - the number section determined the colour, letters the location on the board and the direction was move 1 segment in that direction
Yessssss back to 1080p60 oh yes. YESSSSSS TO THE GOODNESS.
When are we getting riddle merch?
i legit want the code book
