Going through the game with the Reloaded difficulty mod to record my thoughts on it, provide feedback, and to use as a reference for the mod author, if possible
oh so I see you noticed how the Experience point distribution works, I figured that out through playing The Lost Age, but even in your main front party the person on the left side of the party gets the most XP, so if you want to keep all the levels even you can just rearrange your party order so that the lowest level is always the first in line.
Ohh I see now. I noticed it before, but not that the person on the left gets the most experience and I just assumed that the game just naturally had characters that grew faster than others and I never swapped around the party comp because I was ocd or something like that I guess
@@KisukeOboro yeah it goes all the way down through all 8 characters in TLA as well, so the person on the Sub-party far right side gets less XP than the one on the sub party far left as well. Granted this is mostly based on my observations and checking after battles, but you should be able to verify it yourself by checking each character's XP value, then doing a battle, and seeing what it changed by. I haven't seen any hard info from a guide confirming this but I remember figuring that out myself back in the day.
EDIT actually I just booted up my emulator and tried a couple of overworld battles to re-test this my self and my Isaac and Mia are getting the same XP count, so it's possible I just misled myself, I tried 2 battles that both gave 141 xp and they both got the exact same amount, the only other difference I could see why the other characters fall behind is that Ivan and Mia are squishier and may die more often, and miss some experience. Sorry for the misinformation, at the very least in the original Golden Sun the party position doesnt seem to be affecting XP from the tests I just ran right now. Maybe it does in TLA? or maybe I am also just crazy.
