I really like these stones, although they are not popular in Europe. Unfortunately, pretty pricey, probably because of shipping, so I'm using those 30mm tiny ones. Still good enough for straight razors at least. But, I can recommend the material, very pleasent feedback, very consistent, very nice 3000#.

Mineral oil works ...but you can use other oils as well...
