I have not done a retention test though. If you're familiar with Apres, they have the same sort of curvature, but they do seem a bit more sturdy around the cuticle area of you're making press ons. Sometimes I find the cuticle area for apres can almost be too thin when not using them for gelx. It just depends on the art and how many layers you add.

I sometimes make nails for my sisters and I like the plastic box, plus I can think of other things I would use that for. I am curious - what if you got new QR codes printed on stickers and added that? Just a thought, though I guess reprinting might be almost the same cost. :D Also, I love using Pirate Ship even for just normal shipping - it's so easy and I feel like I have better control over getting the best price vs going to the local UPS store. Post Office is usually not available to me due to the hours of operation conflicting with my work schedule.
Yes, Pirate Ship is a lifesaver for those who work during normal USPS operating hours too! The little plastic cases really are handy. I like that they're reusable too for my customers so they always have a place to store their sets. Thank you for the suggestion with the QR code stickers! I did look into that when I realized what had happened, but unfortunately it'd be the same price as just reprinting them, at least from Vista Print. I love this set I love celestial theme's✨✨ ...I hope you were safe during the hurricane 💛💛 OMG...I have flat curved nails to and I'm yet to find my ideal cover nail and have spent hundreds in the process...I also must have longer nail beds which makes it hard for a cover nail to fit the whole length of my sidewall...often there is a small gap at the top as the cover nail tapers in to early and I don't want to put the tip halfway up the nail as then I have to rebuild the apex and that defeats using a cover nail for its convenience and ease. I love and only wear coffin shape and would love if anyone can suggest cover nail brands for me .

That sounds a lot like some of the issues I have. I love the medium almond shape, but I find sometimes it's better to buy a long and file it down to not have the sidewalls show at the free edge. I do really like the Apres system though. The natural nails are sculpted enough to cover my sidewalls, but I'd go for the long almond if you have long nailbeds!

Do you ever etch the underside of the press ons? I’ve been having issues with them popping off despite a good prep and I’m wondering if I should be taking that smooth layer off the back of the nails? This set is so beautiful and this is such a wonderfully helpful video! ❤
Hey Brei 🥰 I do etch underneath if I am applying gelx to myself! That definitely leads to better retention. I find that the glue tabs sometimes to stick better to a non etched surface, so I've stopped etching underneath in case my clients will ne using those. They can always use the included buffer to etch underneath if they'd like to when using the liquid glue. Hope that helps, and I'm glad you liked the set 😊❤️

That's something I'm still working on actually, making sure I don't have pooling around the edges. Before curing, I usually run a gloved finger or my brush just right at the edge to wipe away excess that has pooled, and if I have a super thick layer, I'll flip the nail over to have it pool in the center instead. With a super textured nail, I usually do a thicker top coat too that I can build the apex up with to bring back a nice shape! 🥰
