Hi Heath, I learned this knot a while ago and it's strong. I tie my mono leader to my braid main line with a version of this knot. After you do the six wraps, I do six wraps back toward the loop and then put the tag end through the loop. It's almost the same thing. Hope all is well with your "Crew." I like the albright... here's the thing with uni to uni... is it's made to splice together 2 lines of the same pound test. where as the Albright is made to connect different lines.
Very good instruction. I have a large toe nail clipper to trim back the lines instead of pliers or scissors.
20 years fishing bass tournaments and I never used this knot. You're a good coach, I nailed it my first try. Thank you...
Works better if you lubricate the knot with either saliva or urine.

I put top shot on for shark fishing is this strong enough for big sharks off the pier
