This video gives you information about the minimum income you can make in each Canadian province and territory if you come to study in Canada or if you are on an open work permit or have permanent residency and have a minimum wage job. Six provinces increased their minimum wages effective October 1st, 2022. The video also provides information on average living costs per month in major Canadian cities for a couple and a family of three. I also give you four tips (plus one bonus tip) on how you can increase your income when you are studying or working in Canada.

BC is one of the most expensive provinces in Canada, but if you have a job, you can manage. Although real estate is very expensive. Also BC has the mildest weather out of all Canadian provinces. If you only allowed to work a certain amount of hours as per your visa, then it is illegal to work more than those set hours. Otherwise there is no limit on how many hours you can work, you can work as many as you can. But based on your income you will have to pay taxes.
