I started making a game in GB studio about 3 1/2 months ago, from scratch, a detailed Metroidvania, and it's not as easy and straightforward as I thought it would be. Some things had me stuck for awhile, but at this point I pretty much know everything I need to in using it & looking ahead my next games will be done much quicker & easier.
This was a lot of fun, I hope you enjoyed it. More Gameboy games to come 🙂

Great question. Personally I would say use Godot, as it's more user friendly if just starting out and a great way to continue to learn and grow and make bigger and better games in the future.
