    I've been bike riding since the age of three, and I can tell you from experience that old bikes are made better. They're worth the time and effort to fix them.

    Cool project bike. I recently bought at auction what I think after internet research is a 1956, possibly Black Phantom, Springer front end. At least the paint matches what I've found, and it looks original. Im not sure if the chain guard is thiugh. And it didn't have fenders. But, overall, it's a nice bike. So its gonna be my winter project.

    Could be a Spitfire or Tornado as well. They all have that straight bar.

      You are correct! But i found a remnant of the old decal on the chainguard while i was stripping it clearly the Chainguard is from a hornet. I will assume it is original to the bike.

    It's more easy to used a metal disc brush to take the remaining paint after you used the paint stripper
