I'm repairing a smaller one where one of the capacitors on the top board (driver) has lost a leg after a nut fell into it and melted it off, but this is close enough to be very useful. Thank you very much.

Very good and informative video. I've been trying to find a good diagnostic video for my inverter plasma cutter and have been unable to find any but this is the same technology and it will at least point me in the right direction.

hi sir i have a welding machine like the video mma-180 and the problem is starts normal with the funs to operate and the green led lights but after a few seconds lights off and the fans stop
i have notice on the same pcb which you change the big capacitor there is a thermistor beside a power relay and when the weld machine goes out the resistance of this ptc is very big probably pass very big current i suppose
when the machine cold it happens the same again
can you tell me what could be happen in my case ?

Hi there, I have a TIG / Arc inverter. When I turn the power on in tig mode there is no output voltage but the overheat light is not on . When I switch it to arc mode than the over temp light comes on and there is still no output power. When I do that a yellow light comes on inside the machine up top. What is my problem?

Hi there i have a almost brand new chinese stick 200 amp welder and it has no dc voltage coming out of the power source board main switch tested, fan comes on just no dc voltage, i manually suppled 24v of dc to circuits and all display worked and internal leds worked, what on thr power source board makes the dc voltage??

Inside there is no power transformer. Everything transformerless. This type of machines will often get repaired and keep changing the components. Welding machine with power transformer is the best.
not true there is a ferrite transformer working at high frequency in there. If it were a true transformerless design it would be really dangerous.
