I think all the rappers in the hip hop industry are really good rappers. I think what makes Kendrick stand out more from the rest of the rappers, is that not only is he a good rapper, he’s also a good lyricist. All of Kendrick’s verses in his entire discography, have good lyrics and very memorable bars. Word for word. I’m not saying that Big Sean doesn’t have good lyrics, it’s just that Kendrick has a way with words that he’s able to perfectly place double if not triple entendres in one sentence. His music videos are directed to where they can tell a story. That’s why I think Kendrick Lamar is so well liked.

Also, literally no one knows his standing with his fiancé except him and his fiancé. Sean fumbled with control. He shoulda made that his single. And put a Control remix on the album with everybody mentioned on it. But let Kendrick Lamar record it first. He woulda did 500k first week with that easy. Instead he was in feelings and didnt take it and run with it.
@@romaretaylor9953 well he didn’t and how’d that work out for em? Thats what started his decline not musically but on the music business side. PR wont make him a bad artist but you gotta leverage publicity because he was signed to a 360 and took a loan to record that album and if you don’t recoup you either get shelved or you have to double down and get another loan. If you have a smash record like that you capitalize on it all costs and drag it out. Most artists never get a smash like that. Look at the timeline after that. By the time “ i decided” came around he was already complaining about rap money and his situation and not getting a push he was relegated to a single artist and in that type of deal he was in it fucked him. From then the label had pure “control”over him from and they killed his buzz and wouldn’t push his shit anymore. Also Jay got bodied by Em and put it on his album. Why? Because it’s a business recoup at all costs.

But it’s disrespectful to put him above a rapper who writes his own bars. No matter how mediocre you think that rapper is.
@@LeonaHeart It has been a while since i saw this video and what i was actually responding to. But is More of one than Kanye, he has written many songs for Kanye, Wayne, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, etc. Drake has the ability to be an Emcee but cares more about fast output of music to stay #1, which is practically impossible to do if you write all your bars by yourself. I am only a casual Drake fan and won’t be defending any of his unethical behavior that Kanye also does too. Kanye Just makes sure he steals from his own artist (Big Sean, etc) so they are less likely to sue or tell. He owed Sean $6 million, Sean took a settlement for less to prevent taking him to court. And 50 cent is the biggest snake in the grass.. he’s dying to see Kendrick fail so bad.. 50 cent attaches himself to hot artists that have a “following” or supported by labels and producers coz he has not being recognized like Big 3 or big artists like Jigga/Nas/Dre/Snoop/Ice Cube and Em.. he’s never mentioned anything when that “legend” or “big 3” conversation comes around.. and I see him, he’s really hurt by it! He tried to put Kendrick on power coz of Em and Dre… but deep down he doesn’t like KDot.. I can see it!
uhmmm, interesting thoughts. What makes you think that 50 hates Kendrick?
50 also supported Drake, it was a whole meme
@@arseeoliveira6934 it’s not hard to spot a hater. He has that white people smile when he sees Kendrick. Plus since the beef- he has been inserting himself to make it clear he’s with Drake.. for what reason?? It’s not like Drake did anything for him or have done anything with him before the beef.. but here’s the thing, he recognizes potential for future business.. coz he wants the support Drake has.. he wants the deals Drake has.. historically he should be supporting Kendrick coz they’ve performed and worked together.. and Kendrick has tight aligns with Dre, snoop and Eminem- and those are 50Cent “friends” .. so it’s weird to see how he moves-
@@dudettevlogs4257 yea yea, that makes sense
Kanye finessed Big Sean here now painting him as the problem, Bit Sean is just tired now of being the good guy and having to accept all the crap they're handing him out
I see that, I think big sean should clap back
@@petertarentaal983 Agreed! Roc Nation executives said Big Sean had the worst record deal they ever seen. On Drink champs Sean named the executive who told him that. Kanye is a bad guy. People who love his music don’t want to accept that about Kanye.

@@younggod3906what I never got, is why Drake is in a conversation about the best rapper in the first place… Are we really going to Drake for bars and verses? We are going to Drake for the rappers he has as features and the beats in my perspective. That makes Drake a great artist, but doesn’t mean he can compete as the best rapper.
Part of the reason he didn’t is due to the Ye label he was under. Ye did to him what birdman did to Wayne 😢
@@younggod3906in the 2010s he wasn’t, in the 2020s he def IS

Big Sean ended up with jhene aiko he can’t be too mad lmao
The fact that Ye expected that anyone would take his candidacy seriously tells everything u need to know about his own ego. Wtf lol
Saying your song isn't about another rapper doesn't show a lack of confidence. It shows that you don't want unnecessary energy coming your way when you aren't interested in that kind of situation. Bro just doesn't want a beef that he isn't actually starting to happen over nothing
Big sean is under rated. One time I saw drake rapping Sean's lines on all me live and I just realized how sick the lyrics of his verse were. He smoked drake and 2 chainz on that record
Would you rather be overpaid or underrated
You broke this down perfectly
These are some pretty large reaches. Like.... Literally no one else has accused Kendrick of being a "homewrecker" aka, someone who sleeps with another person's partner. Also, literally no one knows his standing with his fiancé except him and his fiancé. And she definitely has been supporting him since she's heard all through out Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, has been seen at all of his shows, and even was in the music video with him.
My defense ain't even for Kendrick at this point. Yall gonna stop disrespecting Whitney! Leave that woman's business out ya mouth!
Im glad it's not just me,who feels this way! 💯💯💯💯
I am just glad to hear something besides the Drake/Kendrick/the world beef it's already so old
The homewrecker bar was def about Arianna Grande not Kendrick lol
Y’all don’t consider Dark Sky Paradise a classic? 🤔
Maybe its just me but if interviewers kept asking me the same questions about the same subject during almost every interview I had (where I am trying to promote my new/current projects) I would be defensive too smh lol
I was thinking the same thing, put it on the album, and be positive about it on interviews, thanking Kendrick while going to the bank. Be logical, get out of your feelings. I don't get why these men are so emotional.

I personally believe Big Sean's disses were made interchangeable, meaning it could be for Kendrick or Kanye. Big Sean's smoke is for whoever responds back first. I dont like how he throws stones and then hides his hands. He's a man. Say everything with your chest!
People are reaching with the Kendrick stuff. I dont think Seans ever had issues with Kendrick, but i think Kendricks had issues with Sean. According to Sean, Top from TDE says Kendrick just had bad people in his ear.
REACHING?? lmao. Go listen to "Me, myself and I" and "No more interviews". Even with what we're getting recently, I wouldn't be surprised if those are disses towards Kendrick, he always does this "nahh I'm not dissing him, I'm dissing another guy which I'm not gonna say his name" bs

I hope it’s not that serious with Big Sean and Kendrick. F Kanye. But Big Sean’s talent is necessary
Sean’s verse on Tobey was great.
LOL Kanye isn't a true emcee but Drake is? LOL. Drake's entire form of delivery was stolen from Big Sean.
@@andinetrbruce1213 I agree with you. However, it’s not hard for just about any rapper to be a truer MC than a Producer who rarely ever writes. The talent in rapping is the writing. Kanye is always going to be a GOAT Producer, you can say he is your personal favorite rapper, or call him culturally impactful. But it’s disrespectful to put him above a rapper who writes his own bars. No matter how mediocre you think that rapper is.
@@LeonaHeart It has been a while since i saw this video and what i was actually responding to. If i remember correctly, he said something about Kanye not being an emcee but when he listed who he believed was he included Drake in it. Of course Kanye is a producer, and DJs and producers usually have someone else write their bars. That is an old practice, and no one really judges them on it. But Drake has entire teams of ghostwriters and takes half an album from people and makes it his. I don't see the logic in saying that Kanye isn't an emcee while Drake is.
@@andinetrbruce1213 I have no idea what we are even disagreeing about at this point. Lol! I think it’s the definition of an Emcee. An Emcee WRITES. It’s impossible to call Kanye or Dr. Dre an Emcee. Drake is not considered an Emcee by most people anymore. He could afford to pay him, that was a power trip. He also had Sean and all his artists writing for him and was not always crediting them. He didn’t credit Drake right away either. Kendrick is my favorite male rapper btw.
Anybody who says Dark sky paradise not a classic is a flat out lier 🤷🏿♂️
If it's not a "classic" it's definitely his best album
Its a great album, but people like you are way too loose with the word "classic"... you may love the album but that doesnt objectively make it a classic.
Goodbye and Good Riddance is a modern day classic. Acid Rap and Coloring Book. Idk bout Dark Sky's...atleast I'm not replaying the whole album frequently like others. Finally Famous is his best imo

I think you have no idea what a home wrecker is. Kendrick was not thirsting for beef, drake has been subbing him in 11 of his last 17 projects. You reaching.
This is why not everyone shud do videos on hip hop or anything that they don't specialize or have history in.

It sounds like you’re ignoring some obvious Drake disses in some of these subs. It is my belief that he has dissed everyone who you would consider a top rapper.
90% of those stuff against Kendrick, SOUNDS against Drake.
I thought the same
I like Big Sean but how the hell is he calling Kendrick a home wrecker when he cheated on Jhené with Ariana back in 2019? Or cheating with Ariana on his ex-fiancé.
A homewrecker is not a married person who cheats. A homewrecker is someone who has an affair with someone who’s married and destroys their family.

This whole video is off Premis, Sean has a classic in Darksky Paradise. And doesn't walk nothing back. When Kendrick was going at him, he gave him all the smoke. Far more than Drake did. But Kendrick went at who he was trying to get the whole time. The control verse was pretty much was what catapulted Kendrick. That's when Good Kid Mad city took off and went platinum. Because on the remix of don't kill my vibe is the best verse of that year. This vid mentioned that Detroit Mixtape is a classic. The truth is hall of fame should've been that but Kanye F'd him out of that and the Control not making the album. Sean always knows how to set the internet on fire before he releases his albums. Don't get that he walking back statements shit. Lacking confidence, do U MFs listen to music or just read head lines?
Petty. You can't argue about who is "best". It's who is your favorite. It's an opinion not a fact therefore it can't be debated accurately. This is exhausting.
I feel like some bars could also be aimed at Drake especially the homewrecker bar since Kendrick has cheated before he clearly felt some type of way about it and regrets it. Drake has never felt bad about any of his homewrecking actions and sometimes even uses it as a way to bolster his reputation
