So extremely cool. I would have taken one of the smaller rocks, for a souvenir. Wish we had some of that cold, we're still in the 90s in Texas. Thanks so much for the great places your showing us.

Globally Iceland shares the title "Land of Fire And Ice" with so many other geographic areas; such as the massive Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean. When I was in Maui Hawaii a group of us took a boat to Molokini Crater. It's the exposed top of an inactive volcano. You can snorkel and SCUBA dive there. It's an incredible experience.

I so enjoyed this and I'm adding it to my playlist to view again. Volcanoes are another one of my fascinations. As to to message at the beginning of this video, sometimes the best pictures happen when they never were planned.
There is a Latin aphorism (short proverb), "Carpe diem," seize (or grab onto) the day. You've got that wired.

In the middle of a farm field, found a small rock that was petrified wood. How it got there, no idea. Iceland is not on my radar in the near future.

Imagining that the volcanic crater where you stand was once filled with boiling Magma, I am wondering.

The water in the volcano is beautiful. Last week I watched a very informative video' about Volcano lakes.
    It's on UA-cam:

    Check it out!
