Hello, this looks great. I have my first uncooked ham that I will be cooking tomorrow for Christmas and this is the recipe that I found that looks the best. Question, what temp do you cook it at? 350? Thanks.

My ham is smaller. Wondering what internal temp is the ham when you take out and remove lid to start basting? My ham is only 5 lbs. and am trying to adjust accordingly.

I don’t know if you already have a video on this, but you could do a video about curing your own meats.... like how do you cure bacon and ham for yourself? I would also be interested in learning how to cure things/ preserve foods so that they don’t require refrigeration, like how the old-timers did it! Thanks Marisa, love your channel!

Am doing this today. I removed some of the skin, but not all of it. I did score the remaining skin. Will let you know. Fingers crossed.

Hi Marissa…We just took the plunge and started GAPS. Myself and my 5 kids. Regarding detox baths….Can some of the children take them together or will it mess with them? To bath each one every night seperately would be a lot of work but also expensive as we pay a high price for water here..(I’m not saying it’s not worth it but if it’s ok to do some together that would cut some time/$$) thank you!

Great question! Dr. Natasha actually answers this in a book I have, and she says it is fine for them to do detox baths together :)

Say a guy wanted to add a little smoke to this. Would he do it before or after it’s finished cooking?

I watch the Wilson homestead and they have videos on how to cure ham and they have a bacon recipe and curing thing for it as well can you do a video on bacon and a video on organic milk vs raw milk if there is a difference

I use fresh pork too but its smoked first. 170 internal is too high! You aren't eating a ground pork product. I find that 150 and a three minute rest is perfect. Some folks even go 145. The majority of the ham was never exposed to the air, no bacteria formed. No trichinosis as the internal will hit 160.
