Was just cracking up when you were switching all the foundation colors. Yes picking foundation colors has become a major science. Your final look was very pretty. Think her finishing powders are one of her best products beside the biscuit contour which I use constantly. So glad you had a great trip visiting Zoe. Xoxo
Right?! I swear it is becoming harder and harder! I actually thought all the colors could work - so I think we need to just decide what color we WANT to be and go with that. LOL! I totally agree. Standout products for me are Biscuit- the Powders and I love her Super Loaded Highlighters too! We had such a fun trip! I want to go back. xoxo
I’m finally getting the WA drops and reviewing your videos to see how you apply it. I can understand the challenge of choosing your shade. I used to lighten my hair same color as yours, and after that my natural skin tone looked washed out if I shade matched to it. I had to go deeper/warmer to look alive…I’m even more fair than you, so I had to use light layers of self-tanner so the deeper/warmer makeup shade looked more natural. Your freckles and sun pigmentation provide that same help to warm your skin. I think 2 is your shade match color, but it’s too washed out because of the hair color, and so 4 looks much more alive.
Abby, love your WA look! What a special treat to get a makeover by a WA expert. I love the tips you shared and I think #4 looks great on you. You inspired me to use my WA products. I like Steve Madden & love the boots! I thought for sure I was going to see some sweaters in your haul. 😆 You buy the best sweaters. YAY! Yes, we had the best visit yet! AND honestly- it was so HOT there that I could not bear to buy any more sweaters! LOL! AND my hubby came on this visit as well and I don't blow out as much around him. LOL! BUT it was cute- because he rarely shops but bought a bunch of stuff at Sid Mashburn. Right up his alley! Mixing 3 and 4 together would work perfectly on your skin tone - just adding that bit of peach in to counteract the olive undertone of 4 :-) xx

One way I've been using WA is applying a thin layer of complexion drops and for concealer and more coverage, I then apply the Vital stick, then biscuit and baby cheeks...its really gorgeous!

This post came at a great time for me. I just received my complexion drops in #2. The color works on me but it is a teeny bit golden. Like you, i have a hard time determining which is the right shade. I might order #3 and mix as you have. You also inspired me to pull out my Le Rouge and use the hot pink shade which I’ve neglected 🥰

Hey Abby! I love that peach based foundation shade! I believe that’s also my shade. A prominent makeup artist in NYC told me the same regarding shade selection! She said whenever you’re between shades always go a shade up and warmer! It looks best ❤. Guessing you didn’t make it to NM in Beverly Hills? Xoxo 😘 Deb. Oh and btw I’m glad that you’re still using the tip from your recent Chantecaille makeover regarding lining only your upper eye and water line! It really opens up your eyes and lifts them in such a pretty way !!
Deb- I did go over there and the woman would not sell me the Holiday Collection. I was SO SAD. I even told her that you had been there and had gotten to purchase but she must have been a crabby manager because she was like NO! Not available. Needless to say... I was a bit sad. LOL! AND yes- I am learning so much and agree that better to go up and WARMER. Everyone wants to put me in LIGHTER shades but I am not actually that fair and find that they make me look BLAH if I go too light. AND it is so funny because when I first started UA-cam I only work liner on my top eye and then I got some mean comments that I never FINISH my eye looks because I don't line the bottom. So being the 'people pleaser' that I am -I started lining them. BUT - I am back! LOL! I am sorry we missed each other in LA but we will catch up one of these days. xoxo

Ahh thanks…right now, landfall is predicted South of Sarasota. Hurricane’s can change direction at any time until it hits land. We are not on the coastline, where storm surge is the most serious issue. We will be affected by the extreme wind however. Rain has already begun, but for sure, tomorrow and Thursday will be the worst. We’re hoping for the best . 😊💕🌴

This look is beautiful!! The no makeup look that looks to be a notch above some of the others! I tried the stick foundation and had to return it because it was so drying. I know you have dry skin too so could I get away with wearing this liquid one? I am sure you and Zoe had a great time!! Have a great week and sending love and hugs!!
We really had so much fun!! AND yes, this foundation is for us DRY gals. I did not like the other foundation at all either. I do however love this one and it feels very nourishing on the skin. Sending you love and hugs! xoxo

I like summer fridays skin tint better.
If you get a chance the haus labs foundation is incredible. I can rarely say that about a foundation especially with all the silicones in it. But I digress!
I’m amazed and looked all ingredients up on EWG and 90+% are clean ingredients.
It’s bizarre to me how this can be such a lovely texture and feel on skin, but for me it’s a win and out ranked my nars light reflecting. That is second place. BC is third and kjaer Weis 4th place.
For reference I’m dry, mature skin with some hyperpigmentation, little texture and small pores. This doesn’t give the polka dot affect. Also, I’d suggest getting shade matched in store. Picking a shade online is a nightmare. They use the cool as warm, warm as cool ..like Mac cosmetics does. If that makes sense.
My shade wound up being 100 and I picked 145. It’s that confusing! I’m considered pale vs light/med that I am

I’m a Steve Madden freak. I love his style. Also. I don’t know if the WA is good for me. It’s pricey for me for a tint, now that winter is coming. It’s not a smart buy. How fun this is

Abby! Do I need the WA foundation drops? How do they compare to Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint in terms of coverage and glowiness?
Hello Avery! So the Ilia is SUPER glowy - versus the WA is going to be sheer coverage and healthy glowy - but not dewy glowy like the ILIA. The Ilia has more coverage as well. THE WA feels like a dry oil to me - very nourishing. I think they are great for good skin days but not everyone is going to like the sheer nature of the the foundation. I hope this helps! They are great! But different than the ILIA. xoxo
Have you tried the Summer Fridays tint .. how does it compare to the Westman Atelier?
I have tried the Summer Fridays and it is great! IT feels a bit lighter on the skin - more like a serum than a dry oil. I would say that it is a smidge glowier as well. I think it comes down to finding the right color! I hope this helps. xoxo
How is this different than the Biologique Recherche sérum de teint?
This one truly feels like a dry oil tint versus a serum to me. I love BR Serum de Teint and have gone through two bottles which is huge for me- since I have so much foundation. BUT this WA one does have skincare benefits too- but definitely a more glowy finish than the BR. I hope this helps. xoxo

Moroccan oil is heavy for my fine hair....but it does smell great! :)

I don’t believe there’s a gel with the eyebrow pencil. It’s just a covered brush.
I told you shade 4 was the one for you. It’s looks very yellow but blends in to look more natural with a light amount and a dense brush
