- from the Devil May Cry wiki. Out of Darkness is the opening song in Devil May Cry 4, it is also played in the "Divinity Statue" track and when viewing the History of DMC feature of the game. It is sung by Kyrie, making it one of two songs to exist within the canon of the game world itself; the other being "Devils Never Cry".This song was popularized by Aubrey Ashburn.

Songs in games are quite better than in radio.
Best songs = 60s-90s. And some bands now but not much of them. If I ever make a band that will have a future, i will take part of Metallica/SlipKnot/Disturbet and KoЯn style... they know how to make song sounds good.

As a kid this game was such an important part of my upbringing and even today I can trace a lot of who I am to this game. As a music theory nerd and composer now, I realise that this composition, Out of Darkness, forms the basis for many of the harmonic, melody, and compositional techniques I used and the more I analyse this piece the more excited I am that not only was the game such an important thing to me as a person, but also as a musician

What is the notation on Middle C at 23 seconds in? I'm trying to translate it into sheet music by hand since there's no link provided and I'm having difficulty understanding it. Awesome cover! I play it every time I cool down from my workout.
The way it's notated in the video, it seems blue notes are the original's instrumental low-end and the blue notes are the vocals and instrumental high-end. So what I think happened was the was lowest "green" instrument held C3 and then the highest "blue" instrument hit C3 just before the first one stopped ringing out. So it's basically like you hold middle C for the chord, play it again and hold again.
