Yt music is actually decent for me it's as good as Spotify and is what makes youtube premium worth it as i can cancel my Spotify membership thanks to yt music.

I only use YT premium for the music. I can literally listen to anything, including mash ups and remixed that otherwise would be available on things like Spotify or apple music.

Doing that without advertising is absolutely amazing and I thoroughly recommend it for anyone who hasn't tried it do one month with a subscription when your subscription lapses and you get bombarded with ads you will definitely resubscribe....

Picture in Picture is not entitled solely in UA-cam premium, if you live in the USA Picture in Picture is available to videos that aren’t music focused. Having said that, UA-cam premium does offer playback in the background whereas the non premium does not

Whereas now UA-camrs are silenced, constantly threatened with demonetization, are pressured to water down content, and now annoy viewers with MORE ads (sponsorships) baked into the video. UA-cam premium IS a scam and I will always try to find ways to bring back its original functionality and block ads without paying their ridiculously expensive subscription.
