I actually somehow jumped up and caught your stick that night and was lucky enough to have you sign it too. You played so damn hard that that sick was almost broken in half. @@synthealien9093 It was just SOOOOO SLOOOWWWW. Like all the songs were 10-15 bpm too slow. Play them at 1.5 speed on UA-cam and its pretty good.

Cheers from Madrid....Faking fooking Great !! This song is dedicated to Francis Ngannou "The Predator", the reigning UFC Heavyweight champ that gone through hell to achieve his goals. From poverty and working in his chilhood in Batié (Camerún) sandmines he left his country as a penniless and undocumented immigrant and wandered through the desert a full year in order to reach Europe; he suffered several cuts in the infamous concertinas of Melilla and was jailed here in Spain by two months before going to France to live in the streets looking for a gym to train... and he GOOOOOT IT ! And amazing journey of a man that chased his dreams and achieved them literally through blood sweet and tears. NEVER SURRENDER.

My comment was more of an indictment of the last 15 years of (hed), also known as the "pretending we're punk rock"-era of (hed). They are a nu metal band and I wish Jared would just own that instead of repeating the "no, we were totally punk rock all along"-line. And while I enjoyed Class of 2020, claiming it sounds like Broke is provably false. Sandmine sounds a hell of a lot more like Broke and Blackout than Class of 2020 ever did.

Finally give the MAJORITY of people what they want. Those self titled/broke/blackout vibes!!!
Aside from the album artwork, I don't really see much similarities to Blackout in this single, and definitely not Broke or Self-Titled. Not even close, honestly.
I wish, but I don't think (həd) has managed to recreate that sound-nor do I think they want to; at this stage of their career. I hope I'm wrong. But, I honestly just don't see it, and it's way too early to tell.
The biggest difference I'd have to say is Jahred's vocal style... It seriously doesn't resemble anything stylistically to the "M.C.U.D" era of Jahred on the early releases (self-titled/broke/blackout).
Jahred has a much more grimier, traditional punk-rock delivery about his vocal-style now, compared to the more refined, crossover nü-metal delivery Jahred had in his vocal-asterisks; the years past. Being the only original member left in your band can't help either, I would imagine.
The new stuff is OK, but it's definitely still missing the entire nü-metal aesthetic that the MAJORITY of (həd) fans will always associate with (həd) ᴾᴱ and their lasting legacy on music.

I was 7 in '97 & am sure when they were like a "new thing" up-and-coming witnessing/hearing that was prob. very exciting. I've just become a (pretty diehard) fan over the past 5 (approaching 6 months) but in that time have gone through ALL their Material & this JUMPS out at me as ANYTHING I've ever heard on any of the previous dozen records, personally. I think it's a credit to how great the Jahred & the band ARE when fans have different favorites... you love their earliest/I'm ALL ABOUT their latest (because I think it's genuinely GREAT) don't believe either of us is wrong.
