saving for my f82
Valuable insight! With prices going down this is a great time to get into an F8X.
Been following since the 340. Congrats on your 1 year of ownership and getting into your dream car. Keep going 💯
Thanks for the info. I’m definitely looking to get a F80.
When I was taught to drive a manual (long time ago) I was told to always put the gear into 2nd before throwing it into 1st. Doing so helps open the synchros making it easier to put into 1st. Always worked for me.
bruh who’s realistically asking this question lol? people are still buying old e46 m3s to this day. meaning in 10+ years people will still be looking for f80s
Some people think g80 is the only way
E46 is a completely different buyer than a potential modern M owner. E46's and other specialty cars of that ERA require, money, knowledge and the want/obsession with having things perfect. They are not turn key cars (The majority of whats left) and really are for true driver car enthusiasts.
@@detailersworkshop i don’t understand why you’re telling me this. it doesn’t change anything i said. i’m aware they’re not the same car they’re obviously different generations.
@@Metoy3rthat’s the problem w most ppl that are into new BMWs, they don’t even care ab it just want whatever is a foreign and fast, they don’t even know what an e46 is 😂 love my f30 as a daily tho, and e30 as the weekend car
Be patient when searching guys, I searched for about 1.5 years for the right deal and it was worth it. Recently picked up a 2017 F80 comp that was babied and had full ppf with 36k miles. Prices are also dropping, not a bad time to buy!
Same way I feel about my F30. Minus the handling.
Whyd u choose the 6spd over the dct? Cant choose between the two
need that f30 vs f80 comparison vid
I got you
I got my 2018 F80 M3 Competition 6MT with 77k miles for 52k out the door (with taxes) last Summer! Now had it for a year and adding FBO with CrankHub going MHD Stage 2+ 😅.
how's the reliability once you hit 70-80k miles? Im thinking about getting one w 83k miles for 40k before taxes. clean title
@@kevinsosa6502 mine was great..didn't not have one issue for 9+ months! Mine is a manual and a 2018 so I was a little worried about the CrankHub so I just got it done and went full Bolt On. No issues at all man. If you get the CrankHub done, they have to change all the gaskets such as oil pan and valve cover gaskets.
Mine also has a clean title and I'm the third owner.
One more note is mine 2018 has every option on an M Comp manual as well. LED headlights all Camaras etc. I was excited with the spec I have. But now it has the CrankHub and Full Bolt on with MHD stage 2+
I'm calling it now, been right about every damn one before they were a classic. The F8X will go down as one of the best modern M's and a future classic, especially the CS. I'm not really an M guy but do plan to own a late E46M. The weight and looks of the G8X absolutely killed it and solidified the F8X as one of the best.
I couldn’t agree more with this comment 🤝🏽
Hey man after one year of buying my f82 from the dealer my Apple CarPlay has expired. Do you know a place here in Vegas where I can get it activated again ?😊
DM me on instagram
Interesting to hear about the 1st gear issue. My civic si does something similar from time to time. Think it’s related to the synchros not being fully aligned. Thanks for the vid!
I have the same problem in my 6 speed Trd pro Tacoma🤣
Idk what to do about it 🥲
Do u think $50k is a good deal for a 2018 m3 comp with 50k miles? Been looking for months for one
Depending on the spec and features it comes with I’d say it’s still a little high in price. Maybe fair price but not a “good deal”
The price gap between f8x’s and used g8x’s have has been getting kinda close if anyone is patient enough might as well go g8x
Agreed. For a very clean example f8x some people are asking close to G8x prices
No way its been a yearr 😮
From another F8x owner, i bought my 2018 M4 Comp at 32k miles and put 10k-11k miles in a year. I have to say, smiles per gallon for all those miles. An advice, have some extra cash put away 😂
Thank you for this!
Probably the last chance to get a clean one. Prices are getting lower and soon most will be clapped out. My advice~ be ready for expensive maintenance if you don’t do your own work. Just the parts for brake jobs are almost a grand per axle.
So expensive 😭 not even just the labor the parts too!
Crankhub problems happen cause people downshift to aggressively that’s what I’ve read
I’ve read that as well
legit question where can i find an f80 for 35k?? one that doesnt have like 90k miles+ all the ones ive seen are all around 40k
Honestly man the ones that are 35k are gonna be higher mileage.
I got mine for 34k...had 65k miles on the clock. I spent a considerable amount freshening the car up maint wise
@@darkstarVIIIcan I ask about how much the maintenance was after purchase? did you do crank hub?
Downpipes give u check engine light?
catless yeah, i put a o2 spacer and it clears but bimmerlink removes it
@@SnkrKev yeah but what happens if you actually go and get it smogged I want to go catless to make my car louder but I’m scared of not passing smog
Yes they usually do but my high flow catted downpipes from arm haven’t. But even if you do get one tuning the car will remove it
I just passed smog with my downpipes, but once again they are catted. I just had a friend with catless downpipes pass though
@@Metoy3r how much were the downpipe?
it's daily drivable but you better have good roads or you'll have a back pain)
That’s a good point 😂
The F8X is not an entry level car. This car takes an intermediate level of skill to be able to handle, even stock.
Yes I totally agree!
Thats not a weekend driver. Its a garage resident!!! 5k in 1 year cmon i know senior citizens that drive more miles than that in a year..😂😂😂
Congratulations 😂
Really? 1 year ownership and 5k miles. Nothing is gonna happen in that time.
Just my perspective man 🤷🏽
This car is not meant to be a weekender..you wasting your money.
Good thing it’s my money 🤔
F8X arent worth it for how much thy going for. For the price a supra is a 10x better and reliable car. Or any M340/440/B58 platfrom car. Plus they look so dated and wont hold the value as much as the G8X. Everyone thought this was going to be the a last staight 6 M car thats offers a manual… and boom G8X has manual and Turbo staight6 and it sounds 100x better. The S55 sounds like a fart can honda 😂. And they look so tame compared to newer cars. Not worth 50k no where near. For 35k-40k def worth it.
I feel like ur tripping but speaking facts at the same time
Hillarious post..dont ever compare mlite B58s to an M S55. You have no idea what you talking about. Also the M cars love cornering..and are extremely agile..homie also included an M Lite Supra..smh
Bruh u only put 5k miles on the car what u expect to happen 😂
You missed the point of this video
@@Metoy3r I mean no .. we get the point of the video .. I’m just saying it’s not realistic to expect problems on a car u only put 5k miles on with very low miles .. not really much of a good sample size
