I'm a guitar 🎸 player and I was looking up how to play Raspberry songs on the Internet when I came upon "I wanna be with you and there were different interpretations of the song and I saw a comment"I wrote this song this is how it goes EC"I laughed and was very confident I was playing it correctly God bless you Eric and rest in peace ✌️
Raspberries was one of the 1st bands that I followed in my early teens. I purchased all of the albums & still have them. Then followed Eric Carmen's solo endeavor, 'Boats Against the Current' which is one of my favorite albums. I even played the music to my granddaughter who actually stated that she liked the music a lot, showing their/his music spans generations in likability. RIP Eric Carmen
I'm African American and was a teen in the 70s and to this day I still like " Go All The Way" liked the Raspberries and Eric had a great solo career in the 80s, was suprised to hear of his passing, he left us music that will continue and out live us all, RIP Eric Carmen...
He will be missed, Eric will be responsible for my many indulgences in music throughout my life time. He wrote many beautiful songs, and being from the same neck of the woods, I looked up to him musically, he was 2 years my senior. Cannot recall how many times my garage bandmates followed his groups all over town at all the teen night spots: Hullabaloos, Boston Mills, Music Carnival (Opening for The Who) The Agora, and many others. He made me feel proud to say Cleveland was home for me. Will be keeping his family in my prayers. Thank you Monica and God Bless
I found The Raspberries thanks to K-tel records. I loved the band from the second I heard them and turned my jazz listening father into a big fan as well. Horrible to think the party is over.
Eric Carmen, MAESTRO OF MUSIC,Friend to all, Kind to the least of these, charitable,Father, and husband. You will be MISSED but know that you were always loved. I can already see you composing lyrics for the angels and all of heaven to worship our creator, King Jesus.
Didn't have to stop his career a few yrs ago because of his heart?? I remember hearing he had a real bad heart. If so.....that's the way to go in your sleep. GodSpeed Eric Carmen
I never heard about a heart condition. He did struggle with alcoholism and at one time drug issues. Arrested at least twice for DUI . This may have contributed to health problems . I hope Mr Carmen was not suffering. May his family find comfort sharing their grief, memories and love for Mr Carmen.😢
A Cleveland tribute would be nice. I LIVE IN Mentor, Ohio where Jim Bonfanti lives. I have watched him play several times.Mentor Rocks concerts are in the summer, there at the Mentor amphitheater would be a good place for it.
Loved The Raspberries AND Eric Carmen solo...a rocker who could also write and sing the most poignant love songs. When I learned last year that he was a Trump supporter, my heart sank. I was surprised and disappointed...but there's no denying the guy's talent. RIP Eric. From a fan in Oz.

It was like a sucker punch to the gut hearing the news of his passing. Too young & too soon. RIP ERIC 😂❤

Always loved the Raspberries. RIP Eric!
Eric Carmen's solo 1975 album which included his megahit All By Myself was one of my favorite albums that year. Every song was good no filler.

I’ve always enjoyed Eric’s music since I was a kid. Well, since he did “All By Myself”.
