For $300 they could of least gave me a 6 player expansion. Maybe $100 or $150 set.
That's the only reason I'm not buying it. I had the original treasure chest 3d version I got for $300 and I couldn't play 5-6 players plus I never liked the knights and cities expansion. I ended up selling it for $500 on eBay.
This is awesome. Hope this becomes the standard for tourneys.
I just bought two of these at a Costco here in Vancouver Canada for $90 CAD each. Haha

How the hell do you randomise the terrain tokens?

This is an easy no, just because it means you'd need 3D versions of expansions if you ever wanted to play them

I see 3-4 things that will probably lower the "premium" feeling of this. It at least has changed me from "Shut up and take my money" to "dont think so".
1) Not all of the visible parts of the tiles are painted, only a citcle in the middle is painted, thus a lot of the overall impression of the tiles put together are drab brown plastic.
2) The box. Also boring plastic it seems. And also, what if you want to add expansions? Like cities and knights or Helpers. No extra space anywhere it seems.
3) How do you set this up? You cannot shuffle the tiles. There should have been a tile-deck for randomizing the setup.
4) Are the trays large enough for sleeved cards?
Random tile setup can be done by shuffling cards. But the box could of been wood like the 2005 version. Also does the robber not slide of the numbers? They seems round. And why is "robbert"😁 not painted? $300? No thanks. At least 30% percent of this board is brown. Should give us a 30% discount 🤔
also the cities, settlements and roads are the ones from the international catan version

They'll charge you $150 in the future 🤔. Even though I doubt they'll make one. The 2005 3d version at least came in a wood case.
But can we talk about your alpaca with the catnip flap cap? 💕
Looks great 3D painted tiles at $300 is great would cost way more to print and paint them myself. Wooden box sold separately would be nice.
They should have made 6 players version too.
Not worth $300. Can’t play 5-6 players. If you buy the 3D city’s and knights and seafarers expansion for $400 your in for $700! That said, way to many plastic parts and cheap boxes for the price.
If all the smaller pieces were a nice medal made to last and the box was made to last. I would maybe pay $500 for both sets. $700 is nuts!
