That is massive and beautiful and gorgeous and breathtaking
What an amazing piece of engineering a perfect example of American ingenuity and golden-era of roadway construction and industry in general...how anyone can fault the great Robert Moses for this amazing piece of craftsmanship is beyond me!
Feels so wierd watching this video because I have to take the Verrazano every time when I go to Staten Island lol
This bridge is notorious for making noises in the wind
When did New York city replace there old light fixtures into LED light fixtures on the freeways/parkways?, and when did they replace the last remaining button copy overhead signs to the newer overhead signs?
They even changed the overhead sign gantry too
Why would anyone take the lower deck if given a choice?
We ALWAYS take the lower deck. I don't know why. Just habit, I guess. (Also, people with height anxieties might not like the upper deck, because you realize how high up you are, because you can see. The lower deck, not so much. You're closed in.)
cus it’s terrifying 😭
I’ll take upper deck all day
