Excellent advice, love the passion and commitment to his art. Thanks for sharing, I know creating such videos require a great deal of effort so it’s much appreciated.

Thank you so much! My mind follows Peter's when thinking about process and materials, so this interview "spoke to me" and I learned a bunch. It's so true about capturing the person in the portrait. Even in portraits or people I paint or draw, I will generally research them a bit if I don't know them personally.

I loved the portrait and think that abandoning a painting is such a good idea. Good enough for Da Vinci got to be good enough for me! Stops that last minute ruination by over fiddling. Thanks!

Actually I think good portraiture is the fusion of the sitters appearance and personality forced through the eye of the needle that is the artists brain. An interpretation infused with his or her personal peculiarities and idiosyncrasies otherwise its photography. In summary im humble opnion interesting portrait work says way more about the artist than the sitter if is its any good. Thats my only my opinion. Its about time we value the interpretation rather than dreary likeness. Otherwise photograph them. Lets celebrate our fascinating idiosyncrasies both of the sitter and that of the artist.
