Born in 2002! So she'll be turning only 13 this year. TBH, in terms of energy and charisma, I'd say this was the best performance this episode. A number of the older singers have somewhat better developed voices and vocal techniques at this point, so the judges and many observers still preface praise for Lily with statements like "for someone this young..." I would say that about half of her performance here was fantastic ... for someone this young. The other half was fantastic...for someone of any age. There were parts of her performance that were just absolutely exquisite and amazing...beautiful tone, excellent phrasing, spot-on power. She's the only one that gave me goosebumps out of all of the contestants in this episode and it was due to those parts I just mentioned. I don't think it will be long at all before the "for someone this young" preface becomes irrelevant.
