- These two acrylic paintings were made to complete a Triptych for the owner of "Foggy Knight". The idea was to bring two of his best friends that had passed on, into "The Outside. The Great Dane, Max, and the Mastiff, Bear, now have a permanent place in "The Outside". All my paintings are made with Trekell brushes. Check out the links below! #painting #animals #art

As an artist (not nearly of this guy's talent, but relatable none the less) I can tell you that there is no greater critic of our work than ourselves. At times it can be extremely frustrating to have any sort of artistic ability, weather it be music, stage and screen, paint, or printed medium. Most of us are never truely happy with our own work, and yet we look at everyone else as geniuses that we will never live up to. My own work is never done, no matter what anyone else says about it. I'm sure Mr. Simkins has had moments like this as well.
I could never own such a painting. The responsibility to look after it would be too great.

He is a modern day Dali and his name will be in the same sentences along with all the greats 1 day.
Acrylic has a different nature unlike oil painting, it almost dry instantly and you can add a new clean layer of paint and even control the transparency and opacity of the new layer without worrying about mixing the layers and that's truly great feature, to do that in oil i need at least 24 hours.. Acrylic is pretty much like digital art, so clean and intuitive love it
Yeah, and like digital art you can remove a new layer easily by just wiping it off. If the layer below is dry you paint on top of it, and if it's not right you can simply wash and wipe it off and the lower layer is still there. It's like an analog control+z.
@@RobertF- That cool isn't. All that makes me reconsidering using oil in the future, to be honest oil is hard to deal with sometimes and more precisely its time consuming and messy
I doubt you'll see this Mr. Simkins, but I have to say it anyway. In the last two years we've lost many family members (both animal and human) and it has created a bottleneck of emotion resulting in a sort of stoic emotionless existence. Your painting has broken that and I've bawled like a baby. I wish I could express what they've meant to me in the way you have with your painting. I just wanted to say thank you.

I know the pain you feel. I am in a similar state. People can do anything they put their mind to. If you wish to remember them in this way, then go for it. Do it before you regret not being able to do it anymore. I know the feeling of regret all too well as well. It's not a nice feeling.

I don’t have the vocabulary to describe the joy that overcame my senses while watching this vision of beauty and intrigue that came to life before my very eyes.
I kept gigglin throughout the video because I just couldn’t believe how amazing this painting is.
I kept saying to myself, “only God can bless someone with such a gift.”
This level of artistic talent is simply obscene.
He has to be one of the best artist in the world. This is a gift of talent, skills and a great imagination. I love his art name Craola. Witch means Crayon in English.
This dude is so on another level its ridiculous. He is the new era's Salvador Dali with the skills of a Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Picasso... Anyone who is fortunate enough to own an original has a piece of history that will only grow in value.

A master colorist. Surface texture as well.....always playing among the granite like beaks against feathers or water next to a solid object....glassy eyes & foggy skies. Always incredible.

I’m blown away! The was some much fun to watch. So unpredictable. I paint water colour, acrylic, pencil, pen and ink. Land and sea scape, portraits, interiors, whatever feels right. I have ventured into my inner stuff on paper and canvas and enjoyed the results. This is inspiring.

I love how basic the animals start out. It’s almost simple enough for me to think “I could do that”. Then he comes in with all the details and kicks me square in the nuts.
It's very interesting to me how your work is like following a maze, you show every step, every move, but somehow, you end up on another level.

I started crying when the silouhete of the dog showed up, I lost my Lulú 6 months ago and the pain is still there, she was my best friend. I can paint with oils but I can't bring myself to start one of her, my eyes water as soon as I think of it, it's like giving a final sentence.... that she is no longer here.

Ello, you most likely (and hopefully) don't know me and I likewise. You are also probably older than me but I have been through this...loss.The loss of a loved one (pet,friend,fafamily member).I've lost my first dog,a beagle named Katie,my grandpa to cancer,my friend to depression,and my most recent and sore loss,my dog Mollie,1 of the 2 Beagles I have.You have to let go of the losses.you can't run away from the final goodbye.We have to say that final goodbye and release ourselves from that loss.Because if we don't we'll lose ourselves and the people we lost wouldn't like that.Hopefully you actually read this and I didn't type this all for nothing!Hope it helps!
