Gotta love those 2nd gens. I fire mine up (`79 black TA clone with 400) whenever my `99 black TA is down for a repair (upgrade ;)). BTW - she's got 369,000 miles ... so if ya take care of them ... they keep on going!!!
i got a 78 firebird formula not to long ago im 19 and my dad help me get it, we gotta put in a ac unit and fix some lights on it but that thing runs like a bat outta hell and my friends are pretty jealous lol might find me a damsel in distress one of these days in this car
nice headlight upgrades. no more driving by candle light. lol. I'm pretty curious about the suspension upgrades. Those arms look really nice and sound like major driveability upgrades.
6:30 The stiffer steering is probably due to the added caster of the improved geometry. How much caster is it set at now? On another note, In my opinion, those mufflers make it sound too much like an LS type engine, and to me these Pontiacs need a deep slow rumble at idle. I've had my 77 for 27 years and have done just about everything to it. It handles like it's on rails! Factory AC, 400, 5 speed TKO.
I have a 79 looking for back tail lights smoked in excellent condition any chance you have any. Your car is awesome. I did a full ground up On Mine. But still looking for perfect tail lights Lol
Right now it’s drilled slotted rotors with stock calipers up front and aftermarket discs in the rear. I have a C5 front setup for it going on in the very near future
I daily drive my '71 Trans Am. Almost 178,000 miles now.
