Duncan, not understanding a game mechanic immediately: "Well this is Broken" Duncan should be required to play the tutorial of any new game they play lol
basically any new strategy game duncan plays its like he's never played a strategy game ever, this game is basically a combo of two games hes already played, CIV and Age of Empires, yet he still does this, it so irritating.
@@matthewrobinson9942 Thats what gets me. I haven't touched rise of nations for about a decade, and it took me no time to get in there and figure it out again when they released the steam version. When you play so many strategy games, a lot of this stuff should be pretty obvious.
Sad thing is this is the "tutorial" session. Spiff is letting them all get the hang of it. Duncan will, however, complain if he instantly can't do what he wants. Classic.
I love this game so much used to play it years ago, got my best mate into it like a year ago and we play it fairly often would love to see them play age of mythology as well
Duncan lost all his troops in spiffs land with 1 supply wagon per troop was because they were at "PEACE" military units take crazy attrition damage. Much more damage then if they were at war( it's to stop people from walking into your base and going to war)
Gods I remember the multiplayer of this being super brutal and stressful. From what I recall after around the Napoleonic era you just set the rally points of your troop buildings on the enemy and then continuously churn out units that grind against each other in the middle in a horrifying Verdunesc meatgrinder until one side inches ahead on tech or out-produces resources and steamrollers the opponent. Trying to keep on top of all the different resources always gave me a headache, by the end game there's soo many :p Edit: yeah that final battle between Rythian and Spiff is how I remember it. Throwing endless numbers of men and machines to their deaths just to hold things at a stalemate. Oh the humanity :p
When he's there wave assaulting men into an entire tank brigade and I'm screaming at him to build the building to build his own tanks, and he just... doesn't... for so long. And then when he finally decides to look for how to build them and doesn't read the descriptions to see which building it is he needs, goddamn infuriating.
This seems like one of those games where the public MP is either sweaty as hell or utterly dead. The game seems fun, but fighting someone above your own skill-level in it seems impossible. 😂
Unless I missed a reference to something, it wasn't that funny... Saying "Look they have fantasy nations, like the Aztecs" (who are a real ancient civilisation, not fantasy) isn't funny, it's just stupid. Disclaimer: I'm not calling Daltos stupid. I would have just ignored it and moved on if it weren't for this comment.
@rat Yeah, sorry. Unless you're referring to the conspiracy theory that Australia is just a bunch of paid actors and not a real place, I don't get it. If that is what you are talking about, I stand by my previous statement. It's about as funny as saying the Earth is flat. If you truly believe it, I feel sorry for you. If you say it as a joke, where is the punchline? It's just dumb. Sorry, not sorry.
Daltos' joke didnt land because it wasn't funny. He just says whatever he's thinking with no filter and it's often trashy or stupid. There's never been an official Yogs member who can stop a good vibe or kill a joke quicker than ol' Daltos. What's more, the Yogs use, "you're worse than Daltos" as a legitimatize insult and yet he's still around. Maybe he's a charity case or something. *shrug* I can't wait till he's out and I can start watching more Yogs Live content again!

It does get annoying when he passes his inexperience off as bad game design.

i like how you imply he would pay attention or retain any of a tutorial.

This game doesn't get enough love IMO.

FINALLY SOME GOOD OL RON! The soundtrack of my childhood
This was one of the first games I played, I played so much much of it when I was younger
Hell yeah! Between this and RA2 i was in heaven
You guys have it on steam? Its cheap

There are like 7
It kinda disturbs me that rythian never built like a stable and didnt build all the buildings

Yeah this stream was a little rage inducing.
as huge fan of the game this was an experience to say the least :)
A fun game but rythians PoV was a poor choice.
No intro and only rythians perspective?
I mean, it's a stream VOD. You can't really expect more unless you're on the Civ channel.
@@dougpowers look at the armchair admirals stream that was uploaded before this one. That is what i mean
@@renegadeguy2340 It's because they weren't streaming from the office for this stream
That was quite fun to watch
There is a reason why russia is usually banned from games, built the right wonders and you cant be attacked
Would love to watch you guys play more
Just me, or is the audio volume _super_ low here?

Kinda want them to play Rise Of Legends as well, that game was pretty fun, i enjoyed the whole district mechanics and the cool fluff
Finally! This game rocks face.
ofcourse spiff is picking russians...
Rythian rally point pls but gg
Gods, I miss playing this with friends
Dalton's joke about fantasy nations went totally unappreciated :/

I wish Spiff wasn’t such a sweat in these videos all the time.
hes not, the others just need to be spoon fed on how to play a game that is like 100 other games theyve already played
