The art of the Bhil people of central India is instantly recognisable for its bright colours, fantastical human forms and mesmerising dot patterns which, according to Bhil tradition, often adorn homes in the form of elaborate frescoes. This stunning animation from Nina Sabnani and artist Sher Singh Bhil brings to life the Bhil origin myth of a shaman, a rooster, and how painting came to mean prayer.
