You really didn't need to change all that a nice SkatTrak impeller new wear ring and be on my way. Could have used all that money fore and aftermarket intake grate and ride plate, oh and Antisieze! You'll be kicking yourself in the arse next time you have to work on it and your snapping and drilling bolts out. Coming from alot of experience.
Pretty sure the top seal that you put in is supposed to be lower than flush with the housing. At least my stock 21 ex deluxe is. I just built a new pump and installed it the way you instructed but I had grease leaking out of the seal. I think it should be flush with the lip on the shaft, but not flush with the lip of the housing. Anyway, great video this was a lifesaver!
@@ryan1803 the EXR is a slightly different design. The driveshaft stays with the impeller/pump on the EXR. You will then need to unscrew the prop using a holder tool, a vice (or car!) and a breaker bar.
I have a 2017 ex sport and I have all the bolts out and the jet pump is about a half inch off but it will not come off all the way. Am I missing something? Can anyone help?

What happens if the shaft comes out with the jet pump? I took mine off and the drive shaft is stuck in the pump and will not come out.

Where did you order your impeller housing? I need a new one on my 2021 Yamaha exr waverunner and there on back order is struggling !
So you can't replace the wear ring you'll have to get the jet pump housing?
