Tip to save a little time: Linkages to the trim and reverse gate have quick release ends so no need to unscrew the fittings on the pump unit. Just slide the sleeves back and pull the cables off the ball fittings. You still have to unscrew the steering linkage though.
Thank you! Results will be posted tomorrow on the full build page, but its upper 70s. This impeller is a bit tall for the setup; we are going to continue adding mods to increase power where it'll be better suited for future updates. Is that prop give better top end than the dual prop. I have stage 2. Also I’m at 138hrs and my clutch is still good, when can I expect to have to replace it? 200hrs?
Is there any reason why you removed the ball joints from the trim and reverse bucket as opposed to simply removing the spring loaded socket cable ends?
Joe great video will marine silicone be ok for the pump sealant and with stage 1 plus are titanium retainers needed and is the riva coolant upgrade needed I’m up in northeast water temps rarely get over 68 degrees
Nope, you do not need to change the wear ring out as well. You can do jsut the impeller. Here is a link: www.pwcmuscle.com/solas-yamaha-concord-144mm-12-20-impeller.html

I feel like I’m going to shear the shaft with the amount of force I’m putting on the impeller. There is a lot of torsion/twist in the shaft. I’ve tried heating with a butane torch. Will it eventually release?

What type of sealant are you using or recommend when putting the pump back together?
Was wonder the same thing
Did you find out? I need to know too
Hey Joe ; What pump moves the most GPM .
Is that prop give better top end than the dual prop. I have stage 2. Also I’m at 138hrs and my clutch is still good, when can I expect to have to replace it? 200hrs?
Joe.....what type of adhesive should be used? Any chance you can name a brand or link to a product? Thanks.
Kirk M threebond 1207b is what’s recommended in the factory Yamaha repair manual
Thank you very much by fab by fab in the French West Indies
Thanks you the video Joe! Question though, how can torque the Solas impeller when installing it?
Tighten to hand. These are reverse threaded.
Is there any reason why you removed the ball joints from the trim and reverse bucket as opposed to simply removing the spring loaded socket cable ends?
Good point.....just force of habit really; the springs have given me trouble in older skis over the years.
Thanks mate appreciate the video
Nice job pal much appreciated and awesome videos Joe! I can’t seem to pry off the housing any suggestion? Heat gun?

Hey joe what do recommend the lucky 13 pump cone or the Worx pump cone? Thanks.

What’s the difference between dual solas impeller vs this one?
If you have the power to run the dual, it really helps with cavitation
1 3/8" in incorrect. it is a 36mm open end. don't buy wrench you don't need like I did.. just an FYI

You can, but you'll be banging into the rev limiter on the top end.

I heard that also. I’m curious too.
Yeah breaking the seal to get the pump out is a major pain.
For sure. Just wait until you have to break loose the impeller for the first time!
