I would have concerns about the long term fit of the lid.good well informed Visio.

You may be right. The fit of the lid is always a problem with boxes. The wood works with change in temp. and/or humidity. I am hoping I did dry the wood enough and make a loose fit of the lid to compensate for any movements in the box. Time will tell if that was enough. Thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciated.
