I REMEMBER when I FIRST started following you how nervous you were talking to the camera and your videos were just working sounds. You have come so far and I'm so happy to have been able to see the progress. Heres to more videos🍻
Hope everyone that reads this is having an amazing awesome thursday. And IJust made my first crankbait today thanks to marling baits so thanks for being an inspiration.
I started watching your videos when doing the night feeds when my daughter was born. She’ll be 1 year old in 3 weeks and we always look forward to the next vid. Big fans from the U.K. 👍🏻
"Fishing for meat and getting somewhat intoxicated" - I'm pretty sure I knew quite a few people back in university who should have used that as their motto!
I started playing around with some UV resin this year as well. So many cool things you can do with it! The guy that fished next to you, the company on his hoodie is actually the company that inspired me to play with it.
Anyone else notice the bruise under his fingernail on his middle finger looks like a heart 😂😂😂. Love the videos everytime I get notified bout a upload from you I kite not be able to watch it right then and there but I always watch them. Very interesting and informal on different ways to make lures and different styles people are not used to seeing. I thing I've watched almost every videos on your channel. Keep up the amazing videos. I am a marling baits fan for life
Loved your reveal of your recent baits. That butternut lipless crankbait almost got me buying an epic mold just so I could compete to win it. That was sweet!! Your can do attitude is infectious. If I was still teaching I would use your videos to teach my philosophy of “being the best just means that you never quit” to my students.
Liking the variety you’re branching out with including soft plastics. But still always look forward to when you get back to your roots and carve something. You’re channel got me started with my own shop and carving lures. I’ll be sending one soon!
Man I subscribed way before you took off boss, been very exciting to see the progress and knowledge gained, yet never losing the passion!! So happy for you boss.
back when I was a kid, I tied flies all the time. To challenge myself, I bought size 24 and 28 hooks. I've never used those flies, but they were fun to tie.
Something different always good Nate A small handheld pinvise works brilliantly for that sort of stuff where a fixed fly tying vide in that situation is akin to self harming ! they’re cheap as chips too Also uv resin torches are far easier to manipulate around a small bait than that great big old box Best 🌞🌞🌞 I use them for pike flies a lot
They make some specialty carving tools for cutting checkering on rifle stocks, very precise for cutting tight corners and angles. May be worth looking into for some of your detail work like carving scales/gill plates!
Finally someone else has tried to to do this it's a pain and this is why tungsten jigs cost so much money my favorite ice jigs are a fly hook with a split shot crimped on the hook or a willow blade with a hook sodered to it
Good to see the fighting kangaroo on your wall. I'm sure plenty of Aussies follow your channel you have a nice easy going style that we all like. See Ya.
Amazing baits I was inspired by your videos to start up bait making and I absolutely love it I've made some pretty amazing baits granted they're not nearly as amazing as yours but I think they're good, keep up the good work
Love you’re vids, you have inspired me to make my own 6 inch bluegill swimbait (Still making almost done) thanks for doing what you love (because we love it too)
i never thought i would see the day marling baits used a fly tying vice

Ever considered rod building? I think you’d make some insane looking blanks
That’s a FANtastic idea

Listening to Nate stumble over the word "success" at the end of the video made me laugh so hard and idk why 😂
Ooh that’s a nice fine tip you got there
