That lever to engage your chipper is called a clutch lever, and it is supposed to be engaged slowly at a low RPMs and then once it’s engaged completely, you can raise your RPMs up to disengage lower your RPMs and lift up
The doggos definitely enjoy their time while I'm working on the projects! Glad you're enjoying the series. I'd like to do more of this style of buy and get running type of videos in the future!
Vary cool I have a similar chipper but with a Ford 6 cylinder and you gotta ingage the clutch slowly and and run it at pretty high rpms to chip but these old chippers work great just need sharp blades and set them 30 thousands of a inch away from cutter bar
You need to turn up the speed . Twist that knob next to the gauges after you engage the clutch, you'll get alot more power and be able to chip really quickly .
It's actually a pull knob for the governor. I just wasn't ready to test full speed yet. I've got the linkage connected to the correct spot now and it revs up much more. I should have a video soon(ish) chipping more trees!
Ahh, yeah these things are quite dangerous. I'm afraid a cage to prevent me would also be prevent the trees with branches too, just gotta make sure you're on the side feeding it in instead of directly behind it I think.
Hey guys! Watch the FINALE of this JUNKYARD WOOD CHIPPER SERIES here! ua-cam.com/video/rj2qlGb4em8/v-deo.html

That looks like fun. Wished I lived near you stuff like that is right up my alley
It's been a lot of fun messing around with this thing. Excited to get it chipping even better!
Love the dog having their own adventure in the background!
This is a great little series, looks like a fun project.

Thanks for the info! I think I have the governor set to a higher rpm now, maybe it'll chip better.
Great video, can't wait to see you chipping logs.
Can't wait to be chipping logs! Thanks for the support!

great video and great job, I would like to see you put a cage over that chute
Glad you enjoyed the video! What do you mean about a cage on the chute?
dont let doggo grab the chipper sticks xD
Gotta distract them with a throwing stick! Lol
amazing content thanks for sharing ❤️
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@StateFun ❤️
Mine won't grab big branches anymore. especially dead wood. I have to be there pushing them logs. Any idea what it needs?
I don't really know much about these machines, maybe sharpening the blades would help it bite instead of reject it?
my bad, I meant the feed chute, so long as you don't fit in there,

please please help? i have the same model - how the heck do we adjust the blades?
when will we see it in action ?? Im very excited to see you chipping some logs !
It's coming soon! Working on editing...
That’s a Ford 360/390 engine, it will never be at top performance and you better get a lot bigger fuel tank. Those things were never good on gas.
Thanks for the info! I may leave the tank like it is and keep more cans around. If it runs out of gas faster that means break time! Lol
Where did you get the fuel tank?
Here ya go! amzn.to/3OG6P7L
На 17:15 я подумал, что пёсель занырнёт за деревяшкой... 😃
Ease That PTO in.......
Yeah, my bad. I used it more recently and figured out the slow engagement process. Should be a video up on it chipping soon though!
A v8 engine mine is fird inline 300 6cyl all the power needed v8 sounds over kill im guessing type of cutter blades
Looks like my chipper more brand I have maybe someone swapped to the v8 motor
Nothing like fuel splashing on distributor 🙄
Get 2 tanks longer running time
That sounds expensive when they both run out!
Dude!?!?!
More throttle
