Leslie Howard is one of the immortals. He could transform himself totally into any role. He left us tragically too early. Always remembered and revered.
Sheer poetry ... what a wonderful job you did on this Basil. It's not easy to do justice to Leslie Howard. Especially love the shots of him at home and in the recording studio. What a remarkable man not just as an actor but as a person as well; willing to give his life for the sake of the world's freedom. His words in 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' & 'Pimpernel Smith' hold true - he'll always be back. He never truly left. Thank you so much for this.
Good gods, you elegant, elegant man. Such a stud and what an actor. Loved him in Scarlett Pimpernel and Pygmalion. I need to go through the rest of his filmography, I'm obsessed! His face is delicious! ^3^
Thanks for this beautiful video. Leslie Howard was such a brilliant, clear-eyed, sensitive man... Not just an actor - and he was a Great Actor - but also a first-rate director and a sparkling writer. We will never forget him.
he's my all-time favorite british actor and he has the distinction of giving the best ever performance of an actor playing an actor, in Its Love Im After just the best
Thanks for your lovely comments. The male 'Movie Legends' subjects are usually the most difficult to produce and I find it satisfying to deliver a good representation of a male Star. I hope this tribute will help to continue the memory of a major Hollywood player.
Sorry forgot to add I've got some audio CD's of Howard from the Eddie Cantor radio programme if anyone's interested. Being a variety show there's not nearly enough Howard, but they're still really interesting, especially a very touching scene he does with his daughter. I don't have copying equipment but can try to track down someone who does. Feel free to contact me.
I've just found the clip in UA-cam of his late actor son Ronald when he was at that time an RNVR officer on HMS Belfast. Not bad considering he started out as Seaman Howard. The view clip is "nT5NMNDjIEo" or you can search on "Battle Stations - H.M.S. Belfast" and go to 36:06. When officer Howard turns side on, the Howard family profile comes to the fore.
Their video is beautiful and I have included it in the "Álbum de las Estrellas de Cine", thank you to share it, it can look for it in Internet writing "Banco de Cine" or "Tribute Actress Famous" or "Álbum de las Estrellas de Cine" and look for in the alphabet of the ALBUM for the initial letter of the star of this videotape. L LE nº 85 Here their videotape is.
His career was very varied. Versatile man. There is a detailed account of Leslie Howard's life, work and demise in this book - LESLIE HOWARD: ACTOR. WRITER, SOLDIER. SPY?
He was an incredible gem

Why sink me, such a gentleman
I'm not bothered what other people my age say (early 20s) but he was absolutely gorgeous!
Great sensitive artist and, to me, the most fascinating, the sexiest man ever
It's a photo from British Agent, the final scene, when he was on the train with Kay Francis
Definitely!
