Hampton Bay "Genoa II" Ceiling Fan

This is a 52" Hampton Bay Genoa ceiling fan in a polished brass finish, shown with the cane insert blades and is dated March 1995. This was essentially Hampton Bay's version of the "Emperor" ceiling fan design style that was popular throughout the 1980's. This would have been one of the last few iterations of that design sold on the market, and with the case of this fan, sold through Home Depot hardware stores. Overall this is a very cheap fan and poor quality. The housing and metal components are thin and pliable, the blades are small and have warped easily due to age and the cane inserts aren't even woven cane; they're pieces of stamped plastic, molded in a cane pattern!
Regardless of everything against this fan, it is still a major childhood fan for me and remains a relic of popular design and Home Depot merchandise.

Remember seeing one in a rental house. It was installed in an upstairs bedroom that had an extreme vault. The blades were normally just barely missing the open beam ceiling but definitely hit it as there were score marks on it. Rest of the place had smc DC52s.. Circa 2006/7

@@CeilingFanCentral King of Fans/PowerMax actually. Sticker at 0:47 gives it away. Guangdong = PowerMax. However I had seen Genoa II with different motor itself so maybe those were Air Cool.
