It’s no nightmare when I see how valuable Sculptor’s Cut has become ;) Got mine directly from my local Blockbuster for about $25 20+ years ago, back when they were selling off their N64 rental stock to make room for newer games. Best gaming purchase I’ve ever made.
Our local video shop started selling their old Sega Megadrive games for 3 for $10. My friend would get like $20 from his mum, buy 3 games for 10 and some lunch, then we'll play those games and he would give me to me since I had the Sega and he had like N64. Eventually, I ended up with a shoe box full of random games of various quality including games like Fantasy Star and Shinning force, Cyborg Justice etc. Then another friend 'burrowed" my console power cabler when I was not home and broke the console or whatnot and I think I ended up giving him the games. A bit later on, I also had a Nintendo 64 and probably a half dozen games in which I gave to another friend as a farewell gift when I moved house. I sort of regret that bit as that would probably cost like AU$300-$400. In my lifetime I probably owned like 6 to 10 consoles in which I either sold or gave away but I guess I still got my 18 year old Steam account.
Man I wished I knew they did stuff like that when I was a a kid because while my friends and I enjoyed Clayfighter 63 1/3, I really liked the lineup for Sculptor's Cut more and never knew that was the only place to get it from.
