he did a jazz album last year. André 3000 - New Blue Sun (November 17, 2023) its not rap far from it and more of a soundscape of Ambient, new-age and spiritual jazz. it is a very interesting album if you are interested in hearing it. also the song titles are very interesting too.

There's something about being TOO successful. Once you get to the point where EVERYBODY thinks you're a GENIUS....you start thinking you HAVE to live up to that. Not even for your own ego but I think somebody like Andre, doesnt want to disappoint the people that believe in him. That everything you do is OUTSTANDING, its hard to live up to. Notice how a lot of people crack up when they reach that level. It happened to Chapelle. That show, he was so worried that season 3 wouldn't live up to the first 2 seasons he cracked up. As a stand up he has more control but the show, had to be produced and then released and then he had to WAIT as the world judged each episode etc. Look at Prince, yeah he had beef with the record label BUT to me he kind of didn't want the PRESSURE of trying to drop another Purple Rain, because he was trying, and people like the stuff that came after that, BUT it wasn't hitting the same and people started saying he was overrated etc.
