Yvonne i love when you share older videos that.are new to us. Today i was watching.videos of Lianne and the other young horses from atleast one year ago. You asked us if we could distinguish which horse was who. Im so happy to tell you i got so many of their names right. I was so happy with myself. Ive been having a rough week physically. Your videos full.of love bring me to a peaceful happy place. Thank you darling Yvonne.
So this is why Queen Uniek danced upon seeing Rising Star for the first time! I wondered how she knew to do a dressage dance with a baby KWPN red foal. It makes the meeting up so much richer and moves my heart even more. I miss you, your Majesty but will see you in heaven soon! ❤❤❤
Uniek is marvelous in this, isn’t she?🥰 Uniek earned a Sport predicate in dressage, which is quite an accomplishment. There are several videos of Yvonne and Uniek practicing in the indoor arena at Stal G. There are a few competition videos as well. If you’re interested in dressage, there are also quite a few practice and competition videos of Yvonne and Reintje, who also earned the Sport predicate. Both of them are beautiful to watch.
@@nancyj.9719 Uniek and Yvonne were truly one in competition or anytime riding together. She was an exquisite Friesian mare and an ambassador to her breed. She will be missed in all of her admirers hearts!
Such a beautiful sight! It really highlights the difference in gait between the Friesian and KWPN. Apple-Queen looks very delicate and light, as she is. Then they pass, and you can see how much higher Uniek's Friesian trot is. I'm not sure I'd call Uniek herself delicate, but her movement was. ❤

I hadn't seen this before so thank you for showing me Uniek and Apple Queen-Strona at the prime of their lives and probably yours too, dancing so beautifully together. I can see why Uniek greeted Rising Star so happily now. She had a friend like him. ❤

@@mikamichan1842 Ye, most likely, he is gonna be taller and bulkier. It's only this KWPN mare that was small, KWPN are on average taller than Friesians with 16-17 hands whilst Friesians 15-17 hands, only Apple is small here. Sjors is an example of how big KWPN can look become, he is taller than all horses at Stal G and probably weighs more as well. Rising Star at a young age already looks like he is going to be more muscular than Sjors and he is going to be taller than Uniek, not sure how tall exactly because he was way taller than his Friesian pen pals at some point when they were the same age. The difference in growth won't be shown just yet as horses are not that different in yearling stage but maybe in 2+ years is when his growth spurt will make a huge difference for Risey.
And God willing Yvonne is well to ride again! 🙏🏼

This is so beautiful, Yvonne, I am crying again. Firstly, Mozart is my favourite music. Secondly, there are two stunningly beautiful and accomplished horses moving in perfect synchronicity. Thirdly, there are two amazing riders here, totally dedicated and focussed. I guess, seeing this, I realise even more what a huge loss was Queen Uniek TO YOU. 🖤💔👑🐎💔🖤. And also I see, what you meant for Risey. My respect, my love, my prayers. This will come again to you someday. Meantime, Queen Uniek is dancing to heaven's music. And Risey dances to the tune of joy in being with you and his friends.
I have never seen this type of dressage. Both horses look so beautiful and synchronize perfectly even though their bodies are so different. You girls must have spent a lot of time working with the horses to get them to perform so beautifully together. It would be wonderful if Rising Star could be trained to work with his adoptive mom in this way. Thanks so much for sharing!

This video just came across my feed and I can't help but cry. Here is beautiful Uniek dancing to my favorite Mozart song "Little Night Music" and she is now gone from this world. Yvonne and Uniek move as one. So very beautiful.

What a beautiful horse dance duet ❤️! The KWPN horse is more slender and it reminds me of a Fred Astaire type dancer, while our queen reminds me of a more athletic Gene Kelly type. Delightful!
This was so lovely to watch. Eventhough Uniek is a much bigger build than the other Rising Star look alike Yvonne still makes her look so graceful. It will be so good to see Yvonne do dressage again once she is recovered. ❤️

It is so amazing to see how the two different breeds look doing the same thing! 👑 Uniek and Y are as beautiful as ever at representing Friesians, and the dancing brown KWPN and her elegant blond equestrian are showing us what to expect when Risey and Faya are the Olympics!

The lightness of the KWPN is awesome! Queen floats like a feather and I hope someday that Uniek's foster foal, Rising Star, will have the lightness of this beautiful mare. Thank you, Rein for breeding such a lovely horse as Uniek.
But Apple was not one of Rein's horses.... He only breeds Friesians! What the heck?? 😂

I just found your channel and am so happy. I feel as though I am reunited with the magnificent Friesian horses that were my neighbors for 3 years. I lived in a house that was in the middle of two horse outfits. I would walk out my front door and go 50 ft and be with the Friesian ladies or go out the back and be with all the boarded horses that roamed the pasture and hills behind the house. It was an extraordinary experience.
The Friesian horses had my heart from the beginning. So intelligent and confident. Their personalities match their size for sure. I loved watching the foals grow too.
Seeing Uniek perform this pas de deus was beautiful and special. Thanks for taking such good care of one of the horse worlds most interesting breeds.

Uniek does a beautiful job for you! Loved the dance you all did! Did think of Mr Curious- Risey, dancing with his mom. He still needs his time being a colt though! Mom/Uniek loves to work at her best to deserve those treats- either by beautifully pulling a carriage or dancing or being a beautiful mare of her young ones or being ridden - she loves it all!
Crazy to think about one day Uniek will foster a KWPN horse someday 😊

I have watched the pas de deux many times as its one of my favourite videos and have shared it. I would love Uniek to be able to do a short piece with Risey in a couple of years
One of my favourite video as well Unfortunately we will never see Queen Uniek and Rising Star together Uniek is galopins in the vast plains over 🌈 and Risey has the Wobbler Syndrome 😢
This shows why Dutch Warmblood is on the top of the totem pole (i.e Valegro, Totilas and recently Glamourdale et cetera) and the most used breed in dressage or one of the most common breed in equestrianism generally. Whilst Friesians have a distinct natural gait, it cannot be altered no matter the moveset so it's more or less the same high stepping trot in every transition (except for the sport horse iteration of Friesians but they are still work in progress) but Dutch Warmblood are very flexible and therefore have a more versatile moveset than most horse breeds; they can hone those articulate steps by considerate training. They are the dancers of the horse world and peerless in what they do. Can't wait for Rising Star to be a dressage star, hopefully we will be able to see him and his foster Friesian mem in Pas de deux as well, that would be a sight (if he is not gelded that is).
the roan is more cat like! effortless laidback.. Queen Uniac is precise high, lifted knees formal,..... love them both!
at last! Been waiting to see that dance for ages! What perfection in both queen mares! And Queen Riders! More please! I will play that big when I feel heavy and low, and doubt the dance of life. And it will heal and lift ... and make me dance again..

Thank you, that was beautiful to watch. Two very different but lovely horses, two excellent riders. Personally, I prefer the heavier body of the frIesian horse but Apple is elegant.
If you are talking about generally, Friesians do not have a heavier body. It's just this specific KWPN that was smaller than Uniek, Sjors is clearly heavier than all the horses in the channel and he is a KWPN as well, RS and the other new KWPNs (Tygo and Tewaldine) are bound to be much bigger than the Friesians as well considering their 17+ hands lineage. I think you meant more of a heavy trot, Friesians have more power behinds their gaits, KWPN are more dainty/lighter despite their huge size.

I can imagine Uniek and Rising Star doing this together. Now, so sadly, she is gone and RS has Wobbler's. Life sends strange twists and turns our way that are so hard to understand sometimes. I love the differences between these two breeds that still result in effortless grace and athleticism. You really notice how much bigger Uniek’s hooves are as compared to Apple. KWPNs are so elegant.

There's a fairly recent video (from 2022) that includes Uniek and Yvonne practicing for Uniek's debut at the Z1 level. Yvonne said that there isn't any video of Uniek's debut, but there are some still photos from it, and afterward, there was a photoshoot in the forest. The title of that video is: "Queen👑Uniek and Yvonne Z1 dressage competition. And in the forest." There isn't a lot of video footage of Uniek during a competition. My favorite is "Z1 dressuurproef 23 CH Harich." It was a really windy day, but Uniek and Yvonne were amazing.

The Pas De Deux comes from the quadrilles which in turn originated from Cavalry military maneuvers. Dressage is an old equine sport and one of grace and precision.
It certainly is and just google dressage where you can see how popular it is in certain parts of the country and world!

Or even look at the Lipizzaner stallions of the Spanish riding school of Vienna. I saw them at our university one time and it was so fantastic. Only they are born dark colored and turn white with time.

Beautiful video ....Beautiful Queen Uniek ....Beautiful Yvonne the combination was meant to be....But when you find the time Yvonne it would be nice to see Uniek's offspring of foals .....in a collage !!! We can only ask for one miracle at a time Yvonne and having you recover was our biggest miracle and for Bauke and the boys.....I think Belle is just like her mother and my only wish would be to change her name to Uniek- I Von Horus .....
