    Can you use natural oils to soften the mane? Or would that cause problems and attract pests?

    How long do you leave your running braid in for? What do you recommend for cold climates when we can only wash every other month?

      Thanks for your questions! Most of the braids get redone 1 to 2 times per week. The horses that stay in Pennsylvania during the winter don’t get their manes washed unless they are really muddy or having a skin issue. Hope that helps!
