LAST ONE STANDING!! Arriva Yorkshire DAF SB200 Wright Commander 2578 CX06 BHJ on Route 496

This was the bus that got me into buses when I stumbled across this video on UA-cam 12 years ago. I was so impressed by its voith:

This bus has been on my bucket list since then, but it was in Liverpool and nowhere near me. I stumbled across the video again a few months ago and wondered 'has this been withdrawn? I bet it has knowing my luck seeing as I want to go on it.' But, to my surprise, it is active (for now) in Yorkshire based in Wakefield. Last week I learned that this bus is next on the chopping block to be replaced by Enviro 200s, so I thought to myself, 'this is your chance, do it.' And after making the long journey and waiting an hour especially for it at Wakefield Bus Station, here she is. She still has the same beautiful voith from the video 12 years ago, although this was neglected by the driver who was a tad slow. But unfortunately this is all I will be able to get of this bus as it is going to be withdrawn soon. This bus is so likeable, even the driver of the bus next door at Wakefield said to this driver, 'oh lucky you you've got the nice bus' compared to her Enviro 400. So glad to have finally ticked this off my bucket list after 12 years.
