Unfortunately not the same driver as my last video on this incredible bus, however a very healthy-sounding bus with some good kickdown too and even a bit of audible cooling fan. Hopefully, 6448 and 6449 will be with us for a long while to come.

I thought 6448 and 6449 would be withdrawn in spring when the Optare Olympus' arrived, however, they didn't, and I can see why; both sound very healthy. These buses are definitely needed on the local routes around Luton because of the high capacity, not just in the school holidays as well! But, hopefully, the other buses won't have a forgetful driver as he missed a stop at the end when passengers wanted to get off! I do love this route, normally this route is operated by minibuses, so it was interesting to see a slightly bigger bus on this route, tackling the narrow streets of High Town. I think this bus is definitely needed on this route because of passenger numbers, but not because of the roads. Saw this parked up in Luton this morning lol Would've gone on it if I saw in on a route but didn't Dx Taxed until the 1st June, unlikely it'll be renewed and probably won't be at Showbus this year. Shame the retarder still sounds knackered with the loud braking, exterior looks rusty and rotton in places too :/ Given the age of the vehicle it doesn't sound too bad with the idle and engine
It will be the end of an era when this bus goes. There used to be around 20 of them when I was growing up. Yeah the braking was not very nice haha but I mean for 24 years it still seems in pretty good condition so unsure why they are scrapping it to be honest. I am trying to go on this again as this journey was awful with the traffic so couldn't enjoy much of the engine. Every time it comes out to do a route I can never make it so I am gonna keep trying!

So many idiot drivers on this day! At about 0:35 a car almost crashed into the side of the bus I don't know how it didn't!
It Was On 828 To Farley Hill
Yeah, it always does that route. Sometimes it does the 800 to Houghton Regis and last night it was on the 24. I would have gone on it if I had known it was out! Gonna go on it again hopefully because this journey was rubbish with all the traffic
