    Can you do a detailed video on wiring the GPS to the solenoid?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому +1

      Hey dude. It is pretty straight forward. I took the plug n play garmin connection and chopped off the end. It took the positive end wire and fastened it to my positive end of the solenoid (right behind the secondary). I took the negative end wire and fastened it to a chassis nut directly behind the secondary. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to let me know or shoot me an email at jesse@sledaddicz.com. Cheers brother and happy holidays, Jesse

    Hey Guys! Great video! I agree with your picks with the exception of the fuel caddy. Be honest, how many times have you actually needed to use it to get you to the next fuel stop? I feel like especially the 14 liter adds a ton of weight to your sled and most of the time you end up carrying it for someone else! With the exception of trips like the Abitibi Canyon or places way out there in Quebec. Most fuel stops are close enough together that you really shouldn't have to worry about carrying extra. Do you disagree? Do you guys use the toe shim kit or lateral foot plates?...I think those make a massive difference for a small cost. Also, for Ski-Doo specifically, adding some LED lights whether it is aftermarket bulb replacement or the accessory low beam and/or high beam, is a must if you do any night riding at all imo! Again great video...just my 2 cents for your consideration.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому

      Hey dude! I agree. We rarely use the fuel caddy, but the few times I have needed it, I really needed it! And that was only in quebec on a 220 km stretch with no fuel. I used to use the toe shim kit, but I didn't really find it hugely necessary and have not put it on my 21 or 22. The foot plates are another awesome idea but I like to be able to slide my foot out and thats why I haven't used them. I used to have the accessory LED headlight from DOO, but for 450$, it is pretty useless as it just brightens up right in front of you, and does not assist with nighttime riding. I have added LED bulbs to my 21 and 22 (LED Eagle H13) and they are awesome, allowing a clear and far view of the trail at night. I really appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Keep 'em coming! Cheers, Jesse

      @@sledaddicz I hear you on the caddy…that makes sense. Ya, I guess the shims and plates all come down to riding preferences. Totally agree with the low beam accessory, I think replacing the bulbs is a way better and cheaper solution. If you are typically leading though, the high beam LED accessory from BRP is awesome…it lights up the night even if you have good LED bulbs. Spendy but, there is value there if you night ride and a much easier install than the low beam light bar….plus I think they look pretty sick!

    And what are mike’s carbides that you like so much , link ?? Thanks guys !!

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому

      Hey Frank! We appreciate the support! Sorry it took us so long to respond. For some reason youtube held your comment for review. The little pocket you are referring to is a heated phone case that comes on new skidoo sleds with the 7.8" premium gauge. It isn't something you can buy as the wiring is different from factory. The other option for heated phone storage is the glovebox extension with phone holder (shop.ski-doo.com/ca/en/860202072.html). The carbides we love are the bergstrom triple points. Go to bergstromskegs.com
      Let me know if you have any further questions! Cheers, Jesse

    Great videos,
    Question. Does the 2022 Renegade come with the 12 volt accessory outlet in the glove box from the factory?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому

      Hey Timothy! Thanks for the support. Lots more videos coming! The 2022 renegade, regardless of model, does not come with a 12 volt. If u ordered the premium gauge, you will get a USB outlet in the glovebox, but a 12V you would have to purchase and install afterwards. Cheers, Jesse

      I took a look at the skidoo website and apparently not. I picked it up at my local dealer (St Onge Recreation) when I picked up my sled, so it must be a prior edition from a previous season! Cheers, Jesse

      @@sledaddicz Thanks. Keep up the great trips and reviews I was just wondering how Andrew made out with his new oxygen helmet? On the Quebec trip. Thanks Dieter

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Dieter! Here is Andrew's comment from end of last season on how the Oxygen works with glasses: "Hi Paul, so I have been riding for many years with the modular hjc helmet (mainly without heated visor) and more recently i have been using the anti-fog mask from royal distributing with great results. at the start of this winter i finally got the hjc heated visor element, it was better of course but the main issue there is your nose and mouth are still exposed to the cold air so you risk being cold on certain days. I also have been compensating for this by using a tall windshield on any sled I've owned. everything has been fine with this setup but the last two years I have been going farther north and with that comes higher speeds and colder air. so the oxygen was a game changer in terms of heat, its very warm and funny enough i had to get used to my face not being frozen. Since the beginning i always wore a head sock and my hjc helmet was wide open at the bottom as to expel the moisture and now with the oxygen it is fully closed creating its own atmosphere, almost claustrophobic. anyhow, i have overcome that now and to give a proper review, the helmet is great but i still have issue with my glasses until it climatizes within the helmets warmth. so if you stop for 2 minutes or more and crack open the visor, it will take a few minutes of riding for the glasses to level off again and match the helmet heat for the fog to go away. the remedy is just to keep it cracked open for the first 5-10mins until its balanced and then close the shield, or get contacts LOL".
      Cheers, Jesse

    Did you have to change your cableS at all for the bar risers?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому

      No you do not, however double check when you turn your bars all the way to the left that it isn't pulling on the throttle cable. I had this happen on my 18' and it's a simple fix. Just loosen up the throttle block and move it inwards 1/2 inch and you should be fine. No need to deal with longer cable. Cheers, Mike

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Jamie! Mike and I are both running Bergstrom 6" triple point skegs. We might use the stock 4" carbides on the outside of the ski's, but gonna try with just the Bergs first. Mike ran that set up all last season and did not feel the need to add a second carbide. These skegs provide great bite but also keep the weight off of the ski's as doo's are known to be front heavy.
