Thank you for recognising that an Aston Martin DB car is not a supercar and is not about going fast everywhere. You're absolutely right. These cars are about enjoying the whole experience of the drive, not JUST the driving bit, but the road, the scenery, the sky, and just knowing you're the best looking vehicle within 100 miles :)
We’ve got the V12 AMR in Arden Green. I am 1,75m “tall” and when I drive with both of my parents, I can actually just fit in the back ok. But that’s really the max size you should be. Glad you like it. I love this car so much.
@@WeBuild4Life that's the singular flaw I can see with the interior, and it's not like it's their fault since they're stuck using old MB infotainment systems.
@@jona8418 I agree that Merc ipads look ass, but this interior dashboard reminds me of my 2001 volvo, and that little screen...it is not a good interior, and it shows that aston has some financial issues still
I love Super GT’s that combine quasi-supercar design, cachet, heritage with legitimate handling for a luxury Gran Tourer. Examples include this DB11, Ferrari FF, GT4 Lusso, 812 Superfast, Bentley Continental GT Speed(luxury minded), Mercedes AMG GT-C and the ‘87 Lincoln Mark VII LSC (ok jk).
What a great video, good job! The added info was perfect and being a "car guy" I didn't know a few things you mentioned about the DB11. I don't normally take time to comment but thumbs up and I subscribed! Thanks Tedward!
It is , jaguar is a poor man’s Aston. If you can’t afford Aston you get jag. Plus F-type is ugly. Like Ferrari if you can’t afford that you buy a red Porsche
This car has the most refined V12 engine I have ever experienced and have heard. The transmission system and the engine communicate within themselves during driving so satisfactorily and give the most settled driving experience and pleasure you can ever have. If your style and idea is to be a proud owner of a V12 with British Leather Smell Luxury with a Brand Badge of acknowledgement, "DB11-V12" is the car for you Gentleman. Assalamu-Walikum. Have a great day everyone.
I am a huge fan of Aston Martin. Somehow, though, I am looking at this vid with nostalgia for this massive V12 Twin Turbo engine in the front with 500 torque that has now been replaced in the Tesla S Plaid with three tiny electrical motors that produce 1033 HP and probably more than 1500 torque and also, and this is the bane of ICE engines, the same HP and torque at every speed, say at every rev. There is nothing under the hood of a well-designed EV and as technology advances, the size of the motors and batteries will shrink as well. In this vid, we are gawking and gazing upon the last of the beauties that England knew so well to produce.
Love the DB 11 V-12 it is an amazing, fast, fun to drive epic british awesomeness! It is second to only the Bentley Continental GT Speed. The specs of these two or so close it is hard to call the fastest. The Bentley: 208 MPH Max Speed, 3.5 s 0-60 mph, 650 BHP Max Power, 663 foot lb. Max Torque, Gross weight 5,209 pounds. The Aston Martin: 208 MPH Max Speed, 3.4 s 0-60 mph, 630 BHP Max power, 516 foot lb Max Torque, Gross weight 4200 lbs. While the specs are the same, the driving experience could not be different. Kinda like you take the Aston on a date with that 23 year old honey, and pick up the mother-in-law with the Bentley.... Be happy, be safe.
Ive seen all the DB11 videos on youtube so im glad to see another. You seem to speak higher of this now than you did during your db9 video. Has it grown on you?
That interior looks like it was intended to be a slightly more luxurious Volkswagen ID.x, with large plastic parts all over, large plastic rounded corners, a screen with large plastic bezels... and it'll be 10x more expensive, probably.
Those are so beautiful and…almost affordable now but insurance costs alone are crazy. Just got a quote for a 2016 Rapide S…$6,400 a year to insure. Ouch
Haha, the ending bit is such a modern car moment. Just like the LC500, gorgeous car with just as nice of an engine as the Japanese coupe. Interior just as beautiful if not prettier than the engine itself, but again, just like the Lexus - I don't think it's a car for every rich dude. Would definitely make a 11/10 retirement gift to yourself.
Aston Martin and all the high end cars should forgo the dopey looking nav screen and just create an empty slot to drop your phone in. Then it will be "technology proof" and not look outdated.
AM makes such beautiful cars! I drive a 20 Mustang gt and the AM always seems like the next level up of the same car. Only thing that bothers me is the dashboards and gauges. Dont care for the gear selection being in the center like that. But i do likentye fact that tye gear selection lever is missing. Would love to own one some day. Thanks for the very astute review of this very beautiful car.
I know it is not the same, but when I had an 06 Vantage for two years. I always felt like I was in a fancy Mustang. It was a great car and I miss it but ended up going back to Porsche. There is just something about an Aston. Definitely not at the top of cars I've owned performance wise, but they just get under your skin in a good way. Get you an Aston. If you like the mustang you will LOVE any Aston.
This is actually a pretty fucking nice car all by itself - but I just hope that the next DBS Superleggera is ACTUALLY 'superlight' (as the name superleggera suggests) this time. 1700KG max should be the goal. But otherwise, I'm genuinely impressed by this DB11.
why do so many of these modern dual clutch cars sound like ass when they shift? plenty of cars had great sounding shifts just 10 years ago so what had changed?
You can't really compare this atrocity of an interior to LC500. Central gauge cluster is what you would see on a 2014 Volvo XC70 coupled with a Garmin navigator stuck on top of the central console.
You can either spend over 100K to buy this 2017 car with a twin turbo V12, or spend under 70K to buy a 2017 BMW M760I with a twin turbo V12 and all wheel drive, 601HP and faster overall. I'd pick the BMW personally
The twin turbo model starts at $250,000. Even if you could afford it, these cars have had lots of issues with starting (often not starting at all), the electrics are known to be typically English (very problematic), and it’s very easy to spin out the rear end, especially on wet roads. The cost of maintenance is extreme, and because these cars are overly complicated they’re often very difficult to fix correctly.
Stuff that, having a car that can go over 300km and not being able to drive faster than 120km. Europe is the place to live if you want to own a fast car.

Let's be honest, probably within 1000 miles.
Exactly! Aston Martin is a touring car... LUXURY over speed & cornering.
I live in Ohio so it'd probably 500 miles.
This definitely gives me LC500 vibes. A good sounding grand tourer, good looks, and a pretty interior?
Wonderful!
yeah good point. ive driven the LC and it seemed more touring and heavy compared to a sports car you can throw around.
It’s kind of a more expensive and faster and more beautiful LC500
Gotta love the sound of a v12!
nah exhaust sound sucks for a v12. miles away from lambo and ferrari
inline 4 can have better sound than this car lmao
@@sunrider7956 Well that's your opinion and it's fine.

Outdid themselves is a stretch with a tablet styled display IMO.

LOL the interior in this has nothing on the LC500's. This just looks plain cheap and low quality.
@@Tritonal92 keyword: looks. It doesn't feel cheap and having driven both, I'd say the fit and leather quality is on par with the LC500
I don't like the leather. Or at least the color of if. It's reflecting in the windshield obscuring visibility.
