The Versailles treaty thing is wrong, the treaty was bad because it wasn't meant as a peace treaty, it was meant as humiliation and France was well aware of that. They wanted it like that and Germany didn't recover because the treaty was to lax, it recovered because the treaty was ignored as soon as it was possible.

Unique to my elementary school. That "eskimos" were too dumb to know that snow is snow.
Reality: Native American tribes in the arctic circle have multiple words for snow. If you're crossing glacial rifts, you have to know if the snow under you will hold your weight!

It’s weird hearing over and over and over again how schools didn’t properly teach Native American history, because my lil tiny Montessori school for some reason had an absolute TON of curriculum on various tribes and such.
Like, I went through some old school supplies recently, and just the amount of poetry by indigenous authors I’d saved for like 15+ years made me realize how much more there must have been
That being said, I feel like there were a lot of things I learned about in elementary school that I then didn’t learn again in high school or college, so I ended up forgetting them. I swear I had a better understanding of the civil rights movement in second grade than I do now because my APUSH class kind of ran out of time to get past the 1940s when the year ended

I wasn’t taught this I mearly observed and learned never help those who are getting bullied or defend yourself from a bully the innocent are punish and suspended while the bully gets off Scot free.
Don’t talk to strangers-while a good lesson it’s also a bad lesson in the future because when you grow older you will eventually lose your old friends and that lesson will make it extremely difficult to make new adult friends because you don’t know who to trust in the long run parents and teachers shouldn’t be saying don’t talk to strangers but instead talk about who to trust and who you shouldn’t trust.
Parents Talk about your dating experience but don’t tell them to not date who you don’t like for example long distance relationship just because you the parent has had a bad experience with long distance relationship doesn’t mean you’re kid is going to have the same experience you’re past experience is more of a cautionary tale to your kid than an actual warning don’t worry you’re kid will come to you when they need advice but please don’t scare your kid to the point where they won’t come to you in emergency situations that they don’t know what to do we’re hearing more and more examples of this in the news.
Don’t listen to everything you read on the internet and social media a horse can’t sleep laying down they can but they need to be in a herd or a place where they feel safe. Long horns can’t lift their heads because of there horns not true they are perfectly fine they’re born to carry those big horns on their heads they use their big horns as mating display the bigger the horns the more likely they will get a mate. And the trailers that the cowboys use to transport their long horns they’re fine in their as well it prevents them from getting hurt because the horn right next to the other are holding each other up and the door give animals more credit they aren’t stupid they can figure out how to get out with no problem cowboys are never cruel the farm life is there lively hood they can’t afford to loose a herd losing a herd means you will lose everything food water shelter they will practically be homeless without there animals to keep them afloat in this world.
History is largely water down and in my old school they never have a proper history teacher they just used our sports coaches and all they did was just taught us was ww2 over and over which don’t get me wrong it needs to be taught but when you’re learning nothing but ww2 from the 6 grade to your graduation it’s not a good sign I don’t even know the constitution only the 1 and 2 amendment and that’s only because I had grandparents in the military (rip grandparents) the only reason I know my history is because I watched documentary in the hospital whenever I got sick and not just documentary shows but I also did a lot of reading and I largely don’t know about law stuff not even my own rites I’m trying to find a book on rites and law so if I get into a sticky situation by accident I will have a little bit of knowledge to help me out.

It wasn’t even anti-monarchists who killed Rasputin. They were minor nobility and aristocracy who felt his influence on the Tsar was losing them the war and driving Russia into ruin. In reality, the amount of influence Rasputin had is probably much less than they thought, because his actual job (private physician for the crown prince) was kept secret so nobody would know the heir to the Russian Empire had a severe case of anemia. The anti-monarchists in Russia would’ve seen both Rasputin and his assassins as enemies of the people.

I was taught Van Gogh was shot by a teenage boy in the abdomen following an argument, he didn't die instantly and died a day or two later. Despite witnesses, because the neighbourhood didn't consider him someone they would miss, and they didn't want the boy to face the prison system of the time, it was decided reporting his death as suicide was for the best, as his past mental health would explain why he was shot in the stomach and died slowly, rather than in the head, or trying to end his suffering quickly after the stomach shit didn't kill him

"Sharing is caring." No, it's not, it's enabling. And then the other person will grow dependent on YOU and expect things for free without trying themselves and then they will hate you when you don't provide for them.

1:25:05 uh, yeah the second statement basically means the first. the sun is effectively the center of our solar system because the primary source of the gravitational spacetime distortion of our solar system is the sun.

I don't have any unique things to tell, however, I can speak on the behalf of my mother who was told by her mother that Mayonnaise and Whipped cream/cool whip are the same thing.
She was told similar things as well by her mother, why? Because her mother didn't like certain foods, so she told this so that she wouldn't have to buy it.

12:57 I had a similar experience in my Catholic middle school. Except the woman was just a rep from the local crisis pregnency center who told us about women who went there, and the fetuses she handed out were rubber. They bounced really well.
None of us really took it seriously, and the hallway ended up being overtaken by flying rubber fetuses at the end of the school day.

That a year has 364 days. I thought we only say 365 to account for leap-years. I was 22 years old when I learned the truth. I know I didn't just misremember because my older sibling thought the same thing until I told them the truth

I was thanked so very much by teachers who couldn't get a PowerPoint in full-screen mode (I'd ask them to click on the problem slide, then cover my eyes and hit F5 by feel). Also had a music teacher with a projector cart. Pointed out that the laptop was working only because of the battery, and your power strip being turned off was the only reason the projector didn't work. Hit the "reset" button and immediately get both the projector and the sound system working.
Anyways, I learned in high school that if someone asks you for a favour, like writing a virus, don't do anything stupid. I did create a virus that blocked parents from seeing their kids' grades, and burned it onto a CD with "Warning: virus, do not install" and it had my name written on it (facepalm). Well that was dumb, the kid ran to the principal and showed him "look, this kid is making viruses for your computers!". Got suspended for two days, but the kid who asked for the virus and immediately gave the still sealed CD (here's your clue as to his intentions) to the principal got expelled for the remainder of the school year.

Story 65, i learned that poem as a kid as well, though it was a bit differently worded in the first half. Have rarely come across others who know it, so it was cool to see it here.

If you touch baby animals their mother will reject them. False. Your parents just didn't want you to touch baby animals. Which is good. But it's false.
