16 foot doors and longer need to have atleast 2 springs on them . Get your doors maintained 2 times a year

Doesn't need two springs. Find out what door weight is and call a professional. 1 spring or 2. If it doesn't balance right anything can happen.

Garage door openers aren’t designed to lift and out of balance door it puts strain on them to the point something will break and hopefully nobody gets hurt
