I think it's the seal around the chimney. we had to repoint ours and tar/flashing around it. glad Puss puss is "fixed" and home. my boy did the same thing when he got home from the vet....he ran around the whole house to check everything was the same. we are sheltering a feral on our porch. he is the most appreciative cat. he thinks he is at the waldorf astoria for cats. food morning and night, warm 'hut" to sleep in.
