This is the only perfect Elvis Box-Set ... and it's the only way to explore ELVIS MUSIC LEGACY from the Beginning till the End in a beautiful musically CHRONOLOGICALLY and superb sounded way! My original 1st Edition is numbered 289 and it's still sealed 😳...because i have the Promo CD Box Edition (the silver package and smaller one without the Book) for listening pleasure only! Well, i don't have the second un-numbered Big-Box Edition and that's a real shame😔 Thank you for another superb Video, yes i like it a lot and a Big Hooray for this ONE OF A KIND ELVIS PRESLEY Box-Set. @i'm still waiting for the Vinyl-Edition 😅, i'm kidding folks, really...but i have the "Franklin Mint" Collection Box still in my Collection @ @One Question please Jamie: is this your Credit Card Nr. printed on your cool Jailhouse Rock Jacket 🤔?!...i'm only joking Jamie, but it's my kind sense of humor😉
Inside of the box images are like wall images they use on modern museums like r'n'r hall of fame. Does it included selection of Edited vs Full Version of songs, example like Washed My Hands in Muddy Water, Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On, Thats What You Get For Loving Me, etc. that's released various versions on albums.
Just seen you had this unboxing on here I'm a little late but want to add my aspect on this one. I bought 2 of these when they came out (one to leave sealed and one to play) at the same time but they didn't come numbered together in order, which seemed they just randomly shipped how ever they grabbed them. The important thing is these are the most fantastically mastered CD's ever sold. They were actually mastered warm the way Lp's are mastered. This set should have been the mastering "template" for all the "Classic Album" series later released by FTD. But they still went for the brickwalled loudness wars which still keeps me going to certain imports as my "go to's" for alternates. These "The Complete Masters Collection" box sets in my opinion are the finest digital work ever done to any of Elvis' library in this capacity. It's just a shame we couldn't have all this in uncompressed Blu ray TrueHD Master Audio. But maybe one day..
I wish like hell I would’ve purchased the first edition of this set when it was initially released, but I thought it a waste of money. When I came to my senses, both runs were long gone. I was able to pick up a sealed second edition a couple years ago and I paid out the nose! I am proud to own it, however!⚡️
Yeah, it's was even expensive when it first came out - I wouldn't have one if it weren't for trading out for one back when they came out. But very glad you were able to get a set!
Hi guys, just found your channel by chance. New subscriber. Wow fantastic concept. I own a few Elvis boxed sets and have the 2016 complete albums collection box coming. This box is THE motherlode. I remember seeing this issued but it was sadly out of my reach financially. Amazing presentation. (I'd add CD poly sleeves as a minor quibble to protect the discs). But you cannot fault this box. I'm more a Beatles fan but am a record & CD collector so I will follow your channel with interest. Cheers from Sydney Australia guys. 👍👍
Hey guys thanks for your reply. I should add you made Interesting comments regarding The Beatles reissues. Yeah we are looked after with the mono versions though the Mono LP box has become increasingly expensive. The problem for some, (not for me) is the fact that their stereo Vinyl versions are from digital sources. Some people are clamouring for an analogue remaster of the stereo box. Mono in the UK was the main priority until around 1968. Stereo was an afterthought there, consigned to mainly 'high end' jazz & Classical recordings. The 'kids' didn't need stereo lol. The recent remixes have been great for the most part. They're not the originals but are an interesting addition to the catalogue. I appreciate that out of the dedicated Elvis channels, you are taking the mystery out of the recordings which helps 'casual' fans as myself (hmm but then I own over 50 Elvis 45's so maybe not so casual lol 😉). Ok enough from me. Cheers guys. 👍

Does that mean that the Second Edition is somewhat fixed like the album collection?

I like this set as it provides everything in recorded order. But it doesn't include the studio version of I've lost you. I wonder why it wasn't included. Am I correct ? Was the orginal single version of the track a mono version of the studio cut or was it a live version ? The Album collection includes both live and studio version.
Iirc, the single was the studio cut, so yeah it should be there! But the album collection corrects a few of the issues that this set has, interestingly enough.

I would use mini lp cd sleeves for easy removal.The Elvis Raised on Rock album Ftd lp notes at the Stax recording studios a employee stole Elvis favourite microphone which he left overnight. He lost faith in recording in studios because of the theft.

Yeah, I remember that story - it's a shame his mic was stolen, you can certainly tell that day's sound is different; though by the 75 (Today album) sessions, I almost think what he was using in the studio sounded even better.

LOL! Sadly, this one is hard to find, but some of the masters have digital issues - I'd recommend "The Album Collection" since that's still available and has all of the masters corrected. 😁
@@EAPSociety I own"The Album Collection". It could have been a prestige object for the Elvis LPs, but, in the case of Elvis, RCA, BMG, SONY was and is not capable of such a thing and do not care. There are countless examples of this during Elvis' lifetime, right up to the present day. That's my personal opinion after being an Elvis fan for almost 46 years now.
Oh, ok - cool! I always recommend that collection, just in case. I do agree that RCA has a long history of not properly respecting Elvis's catalog, and while it's mostly better now than it's ever been, there's a lot more I'd also like to see done that likely won't happen any time soon. But that's one reason we started the channel; as we grow this, maybe we can make some positive impact sometime down the road in one way or another! It's a pipe dream, for sure, but here's hoping!

Was that mic a gold plated one? I recall reading that in Ernst Jorgensen A Life In Music - The Complete Recording Sessions book released in 1998.
