I quit my old job to go work at the Post Office as a mail carrier. It was a job I always wanted since my younger days & to finally get hired & work was exciting for me. Fast forward after 6 weeks working for USPS, I quit & went back to my old job. It wasn’t what I expected, working outside in all weather conditions & on weekends/holidays wasn’t it, the stress on the body & don’t forget the dogs. At least I tried it & got the experience. Thanks for sharing your story cause your journey is inspiring someone else. I commend you, keep the faith 🙏🏾✨

Sis you just described my situation at the hospital for 36 years being so unhappy but, staying for my kids and grandchildren and because fear gripped me and faith was barely there. I had surgery and my shoulder became frozen and they let me go 2 weeks before Christmas because it was beyond the 6 weeks. Still under a doctor's care. God had things in control though because I felt that he wanted me to leave a long time ago. He has his way of pushing you in the right direction. April this year has been a year from work and I'm waiting to hear from God up until this time. I know that he will lead me in the right direction. Thanks for sharing your story.❤

Or maybe they didn't appreciate the fact she decided on the move and THEN asked for a solid. Lol she worked for them. Not the other way around. We don't know the situation. Maybe she wasn't a stellar enough employee to work from home. They can do what they want with their company. If they don't want people working from home, then yes...its the employees responsibility to find some place that is ok with it. Trying to argue it or wait it out is stupid. Lol that's what they are in charge and line employees are on the line.

Your story reminds me a lot of a close family member of mine. We parallel in that way as I’ve quit many times. Probably have held over 20+ positions since I began working 12 years ago. There has not been any role that I’ve felt so attached to that I haven’t been able to leave when my season had ended. So many people impose jobs on your life as they believe it brings security and stability but honestly the stability and security lies in you - in your ability. The skills you have attained over the years can be transferred anywhere whether you go back to a job or not. 18 years is a long time to not do you, take that sabbatical as long as you need. 💕✨

Also, kudos to you for having an emergency fund. Having a 3 - 6 month or even a 12 - 18 month emergency fund provides you with the freedom to be able to quit a job without having a backup or in the case of medical issues, layoffs, etc.. As soon as my son graduates (Lord's willing) I'm quitting my job. I don't care if I can afford it or not! Life is too short and my health is failing due to the stress of it all.

I’m thinking the same. When my daughter graduates next year I might just quit. No matter if I have a savings or not. Or even all the stuff I have accumulated over the years. And with the election happening next year I don’t think I’m up to another Biden and trump run.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 5 months ago about self development. Now I have 315 subs and almost > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Girl, My daughter and I relocated from NY to Washington State. I know exactly how you feel, I had a job that was unionized 1199. I also have MS, so My worst fear was giving up those benefits. However the best thing I did was leaving that job after 8 years I was so unhappy. I am blessed to have family I can stay with while I transition. Congrats to you! everything will workout. Prayer and faith will carry you through. ♥

I’ve been at my job for almost 18 yrs and I’m burned out. My passion has been slowly fading away. They even stopped giving us raises. I plan on quitting sometime next year.
