My bass is a Squier Fender Jazz Bass, and it has a beautiful sound when it comes to playing Metal.
Actually this song has more bass sounds, it was originally recorded on 5 strings, but most bass players are happy with 4, so that's why I recorded with this bass, I'm glad you liked the cover, I've been loving this song since it came out.

It’s Drop D# same octave as the guitar. if anything you’d be tuning up, other than the low E to D#. I’m assuming

Does your bass have standard 4 string strings on it? I have a 4 string I have restrung with the bottom 4 strings from a 5 string set and I cant find a tuning that works to play this song in! Any ideas?

Yeah, it's a normal 4 string, just need to drop the tuning a bit from my standard to dropped D#, nothing super complicated, although I think q originally the song is played in 5 strings, but I don't know in what tuning, although normally sleep token always play in Drop D# or Drop B (DropZ) so.... Don't kill yourself over thinking haha
