"She may be in the middle of a cleanse" followed by Olivia almost spitting from laughter made me LOL
it was hilarious !
and chadwick trying not to laugh
What does it mean? Bathing?
@@sehar7904 cleanse- a process or period of time during which a person attempts to rid the body of substances regarded as toxic or unhealthy
It's a joke because Gwyneth is known for her healthy lifestyle
@@sehar7904 it's extra funny because Gwenyth promotes things like vaginal cleanses
Helena Bonham Carter talking to a ghost sounds like something people expect her to do:)
Yea sounds about right!
And she will kill the scenes too...hbc is a legitimate badass
I want divorce dennis knows
And I find it hard to forgive her for killing Dobby! Great actress though.
She's Bellatrix after all😂
Clicked on this interview to watch olivia, did not realise chadwick was in this group wow. And he's talking about Black Panther 2 😭 RIP King🙏💝
Why do they call him “king?”
@@IWantToMature85 because he's king of wakanda in the black panther movie
Same motivation, same realization, same thoughts...it’s heartbreaking!
I know I forgot he was in this ep and he passed like a year from this
Helena looks like somebody who would have a psychic friend 😂
she is the psychic friend ahah x
She absolutely does
yes
Totally. I can just imagine her on a rainy, Sunday morning going "Kids, gonna visit my psychic friend. Breakfast is in the fridge.''
It's so depressingly sad that Chadwick is talking about the next Black Panther not knowing he'll never make it to filming. We've lost a great actor and man.
He probably knew full well as he was already very very ill even at this point
I think about this when I see any of his interviews from 2017-2020
I started crying, when I viewed this. Such a beautiful person.
I feel the same way. He seems so charming, and just a down to earth, lovely kinda guy. Wonderful persona. It's very sad :(
He knew. He was asked when the Panther movie 2 was coming out and if he was going to be in it, his reply was "I'm dead". The public didn't know he was so ill and thought that was a bizarre thing to say, but he knew.
A round of applause for Richard Ayoade, never doubt his timing
Well he use atomic clock for his reference..lol..
This has always been my favourite Norton episode because of the quality of the guests and the atmosphere they create.
I didnt know Chadwick Boseman at the time as despite being an obsessive Marvel fan as a kid, or because of it, I shied away from the Hollywood blockbusters. Yet his humility, obvious intelligence, quiet charm and also a certain fragility [which now of course makes sense], struck me profoundly.
I made a note to watch 21 Bridges as soon as I could.
I saw it last week, and though it was an average film, he shone through and through.
Some people just do that, a gleaming glimmer surrounds them.
I never knew the man obviously, but sometimes you can just feel a persons quality, and this man had it / has it in spades.
My heart goes out to his family and all who knew him, and all those who looked up to him.
I find organised religion has caused more harm than help, but I strongly believe in the ongoing existence of the soul.
So wherever you are Chadwick Boseman may your next adventure continue to fill you with glory.
I thank you for your existence.
@@itxongphan9567 mine too!...I have watched this episode so mayn times!!!....such a wonderful and funny evening!...
The way he reacts to lady's story, just like "yep, yep, that sounds about right", just kills me
Richard Ayoade is THE storyteller on the couch...imaginative and a real cool sense of humor...
Episodes like these really showcase how extremely brilliant Graham is. I can't think of a single other host who could make this weird mix of people get along so well and have them all get their moment to shine without it going haywire. It's gotta take so much preparation, experience and people skills. And he has it all! Thank you for uploading!
Yes and when he was asking Anne a question but she preempted him and assumed he was going to ask something different, he didn't stop her and continue, he let her go on because he realised her story was probably going to be more interesting.
Great observation. You're absolutely right.

The bit where Helena puts her hand on Olivia’s leg to comfort her almost had me in tears 😭

Shout out to Lady Glenconner. The comments may have forgotten you, but you were the highlight of the interview to me
_And_ the title forgot her, for that matter
RIP King. I can’t watch any of his interviews or movies the same way anymore; he was charming as ever and didn’t give any hints of his illness in interviews like this. He is the definition of grace and strength. That he battled colon cancer for the entire peak of his career- that he didn’t let the cancer stop him from changing the world- is beyond inspiring.
well said - very touching.
Chadwick was a tremendous actor.
Chadwick was one of the very few people I never met whose death really affected me. I love coming back to this interview to see him having such a good time and enjoying life.. gone too soon but will never be forgotten
Did Ayowade die?
It's funny to watch Chadwick trying to make sense of Richard, his style of humor.
He looks like he's trying to focus XD he understands a bit but also seems a bit confused HAHA
Tbh I think he just doesn't find him funny
@@JordanSmith-zz6vj ok projecting.
@@JordanSmith-zz6vj He had been diagnosed with cancer. Probably trying to put on a brave face.
I actually think Chadwick actually quite liked him. He was making jokes back at him and everything. I think his "confusion" was more of him truly being interested in Richard and what he's saying.
"She bends down and kisses him." I love a throwaway burn, lol.
when?

@@naylas3908 oh you caught my typo! English is not my first language so i've accidentally gotten those two words mixed up! But yes complement is what i meant :)
I love how Helena is teasing Olivia for her 2022 mistake, but at the same time she makes sure to give her a little sidehug.
Obviously a good natured tease. ^^
@@Dixxi91 yes I love the good natured teasing between them, the best kind of friendships involve a litle bit of that in my opinion😁❤
Let’s be serious! Actresses have to be seen getting along well with each other in public! In private, there is only jealousy, backstabbing, etc.
Richard Ayoade's dry, sarcastic, self-deprecating humor and his dead-pan delivery SLAYS me every time. I really want to just hang out with him.
Helena and Olivia together are absolutely adorable
Jeanie Black Contemporary Visual Artist Cissy and Bella

At one point I legit thought they were going to stop talking to Graham and just chat between themselves.
Who's here after the shocking news about Chadwick Boseman! RIP
Oh my gosh. Wasn’t this just filmed a year ago? He’s only 43. Geez.
So so sad - such a talented and lovely guy
@@Julia36D I believe so, when theu talk about filming black Panther in 2022, that bit got me 😒😤
To think that he would have been going through his chemo and the resultant pain, nausea and general tiredness while filming this and the Avengers movies. ..heart breaking. Wonderful couch. Olivia is charismatic, Helena is eccentric, Chadwick is iconic, Richard is hilarious and Lady Glenconner is so fascinating. Love, love, love.
The host's pretty good, too 😂
that must be the best line up graham has ever had, richard is beyond funny with his self-deprecation, olivia is aloof, chad is hot and helena is helena, snarky and hilarious, the book story about gwyneth AND THEN the lady anne, wow. helena's gorgeous
"Olivia is aloof"? You couldn't possibly be more wrong Watching her face you could see her reacting to every anecdote, her arms and body moving as if conducting to the rhythm of the stories. I can't remember seeing anyone on the couch who displays their emotions so clearly physically. At several points you can sea Helena reaching over to pat her gently as if soothing a high strung horse. I spent as much of my attention watching her face and reactions as i did listening to the stories. Very entertaining and very sweet.
aloof?! that's so interesting you saw her that way. i think she seems like one of the most candid and ... almost child-like celebrities i've ever seen in interview. very little artifice.
As a fellow Czech: Perhaps you meant more something like "careless"?

It's crazy, that at this point, Chadwick had been fighting cancer for years. None of us had a clue... Rest in peace brother.
I feel very sad that Chadwick Boseman is no longer in this universe. A great eloquent man.
Lady Anne Glenconner fascinated me
Literally just bought the book. xD
It actually made me Google her and her late husband and read both their Wikipedia pages, very lovely lady.
Indeed! Bet she has lead an amazing life.
her book is so fascinating
Richard Ayoade is so genius in this episode.
I love how Colman accidentally undermines Ayoade's description of the lamest movie ever by actually getting really involved.
They worked together ages ago, it felt like she was falling into the old pattern where you support your scene partner wherever they go. 😊
She was so cute being all invested like that... 😂😂😂 I find her adorable!

16:35 Helena's "Was it?" is hilarious.

Honestly Richard Ayoade literally is the funniest person I've ever seen on Telly
I absolutely love Helena and Olivia's friendship. They are so effortlessly hilarious 😂
Richard actually made me so excited about reading his book, it sounds like it's a masterpiece lol
As remarkable, entertaining and funny as each of these stellar performers were, Lady Glenconnor steps out and is so engaging, invested, unflinchingly open and skilled she took all five of these trained story tellers and picks each up and envelops them in her gracious charm. To me this show was a depiction of how all of these people build the lovely box meant to hold this precious jewel of a woman.
That's one of the most beautiful and incisive comments I've ever read. Thank you for sharing your lovely, poignant thoughts in such a poetic way.
I’ve read both of her books-her husband was abusive. She’s deaf in one ear because he broke her eardrum
Chadwick talking about Black Panther 2 is heart wrenching. R.I.P King
6:23 "that was way before he became Donald Trump, wasn't it" oh, Helena :')
this is one of the better Graham Norton episodes where all the guests are so disparate from each other, yet their chemistry is undeniable. also, ofc Chadwick Boseman is a warrior for doing press while battling cancer, so I salute him in life as well as in death
also the fact that I thought Lady Glen Connor was gonna be a prim and posh woman but her anniversary story TOOK ME OUT
Lady Anne Glenconner- what a brilliant raconteur! Truly, one of the funniest guests I’ve ever seen on the sofa. 🤣 🤣🤣🤣

RIP Chadwick. 43 is too young....
Lady Glenconner is a ROCKSTAR!!!
I like how actors just have a good time chatting and listening to others on this show!
A totally random couch, that works so beautifully in the end! Graham is a master of this, blending very different people and getting them to open up and have fun. I love everyone in this episode, even though now I watch it with a bit of sadness, after Chadwick's passing (heartbreaking to hear him talking about Black Panther 2 coming up in 2022)...
Okay, to be clear Chadwick Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, which eventually progressed to stage IV before 2020. Graham asks him about the Black Panther sequel to which Boseman replies the release date will be about 2022 the implication being he will be appearing in it then. He knew full well at the time of that show's taping and that segment that he wouldn't be making that sequel. He knew he would not be alive but he answered Graham's question as if all was good. His calm and casual demeanor at that moment coupled with his own self-awareness that he would not live to film that sequel is a godly--- yes, GODLY!--- testament to his amazing courage and strength in the face of his pending death. Chadwick Boseman has my undying admiration and respect. He truly is a king. King T'Challa .... Wakanda forever!! Rest in power my king.
so the best kept secret is that he has already filmed his part
Miss Chadwick Boseman so much. Him having cancer and not letting anyone on about it was so amazing. Such a great man! RIP

Chadwick: 2022
2020: 😢 💔 😢💔
Heartbreaking... :(
The look in his eyes when he says 2022 :( gone too soon and an amazing talent.
This show is probably the best talk show in the world. Graham has a very unique way of getting the group of very different actors to talk to each other and relax in a way that feels like you're watching a group of good friends even though they may not know each other very well. Whoever the producer is, do NOT fire him/ let him leave... Because he does a brilliant job at putting the guests together like this, I can't think of that many shows where there were awkward actors who didn't like ea other. Or too many shows where the actors looked like they were simply being polite to each other. They look genuinely interested in what each other is saying.
I'm aware this is what the alcohol is for.
Lady Glenconner, the star of the show. Unlikely, but true.
Chadwick is incredibly handsome and gentle and breath-taking and has such a beautiful smile, and face, and body, oh my god can't stop!!!!!
He was indeed a handsome man and a talented actor. I HATE having to use the past tense...

Currently crying at the loss of Chadwick Boseman... what an incredibly humble and well spoken individual. He was so talented and I always enjoyed anything I ever watched with him in it. He will forever remain an inspiration to me and I will forever be grateful for his presence on this earth and for the work he has done as it has contributed massively and helped me as a budding actor.

That was a very good episode. Chadwick Boseman seems like a very sweet guy.
Helena Bonham Carter , such a super talented actress
Helena is a QUEEN
I'm watching it today again after this devastating news... gone too soon Chadwick :(
A nice mix. I originally watched as Helena was in it but they were all entertaining. Richard Ayoade is great. He made me laugh so much. I love how he stays in character all the way through. Lady Glenconner also fascinated me and she had me in stitches. What a character. I can just imagine her with her friend Margaret who was always the rebel. I remember growing up liking her for that. I loved how Graham had to keep reigning in the three women chatting at the end to concentrate on the red chair bit. It was so cute and I think I would be like that if I met Lady Glenconner. I get the feeling Lady Glenconner was really enjoying herself.
