I recommend you hear the versions of all these tracks recorded by UNIT in 2019 (available on the French You Tube channel devoted to their work) to hear how they're supposed to sound.
@@paulbeaumont6617 I saw this lot live more times than I can remember and Andy Martin (singer) phoned me up one day and was going on about fantasising about lining skinheads up against a wall and shooting them. Mmmm.....bit too extreme for me. He was weird. Rubella Ballet were much more fun!
@@hopebgood I never seen the apostles play!, I have tapes and live tapes, The apostles were one of the better bands from the anarcho punk genre.. I remember my cousin going to a conflict gig and they were giving away free punk obituary lp, he hated it..
@@paulbeaumont6617 Conflict were much more of a laugh. I was good mates with Colin and especially Paco. But (between me and you) ;) I didn't care for their music much. Too shouty. I always preferred Crass, Poison Girls and Rubella Ballet more.
@@hopebgood yeah I get what you mean, I had mates who knew Colin and Paco (rip), I didn't get too involved. I personally liked conflict gigs at the time, the whole noise and aggressive stance, was good for me.. My first gig was Venom 1985,bl black metal chaos, I knew of crass and poison girls, Annie anxiety prior to that because of the crass marketing I would buy the records, at 51 I now appreciate all of the crass records and related releases
John(ex Apostle)turned up at a party and helped put the so-called'Hackney Hell Crew'in there place...I was there&was a lovely night...but sore the next day lol!😊
What was the name of the asian bloke that played guitar with The Apostles? I seem to recall his name was John .....something. And I remember asking Andy Martin to play an Apostles song at some venue in London with an iron staircase that led up into some really sweaty venue. Any idea where that was?
Plus sadly a lot of revisionism and innacuracy in a lot of the chapters (Inc The Apostles one) which simply having those who had been interviewed proof-read their chapters could have easily avoided.
does anyone know the title of song that ends with these words : "I hate you all, even more than you hate me you bastards", it's not really a song, it's more like spoken word, it's about a road where everything looks and is the same. And it starts with these words "Imagine a room.." thanks a lot
Antifa are a far left terrorist group who bully and assault innocent people...including shops owned by black families. Cf Seattle riots in 2020, Minnesota in 2020...and so on. How do I know? Because one of those Afro-American families whose shop was torched by Antifa happen to be good friends of mine.

I was at school when this e.p. came out and it made a massive impression on me. Still blows me away to hear it!
Me too, discovered it at the back of the crass type records in the box labelled punk... So much more than punk!

John Soures ... maybe in USA.❤
Just love this shit, i was a passionate fanzine reader, this band was always a mystery to me. ANTI SECT too
I knew these people back in the day especially Andy Martin. He was a very weird bloke.
Rudimentary Peni and Amebix were also good stuff.
The algorithm worked this time
Andy Martin and Dave Fanning, brilliant artists making a racket and dissappearing into their own......
The Clash coulda been this good if they gave up all that poppy rocknroll bullshit.
It's such a shame the songs are slightly sped up on the 7". The original recordings are absolutely stunning. Best Apostles record by a million miles.
chris low would love to hear the originals Chris.
Ian Glasper and his many books reminded me to play this release, I love the vocals.
@@iKnowFast yeah me too, i like the "day the country died" really informative but a little dry

My favorite for sure ❤️
Excellent group,so different to the'Normal'anarcho crap bands! And a group who actually did things!

'Poor Martha - She Meant Well' on the 'How Much Longer' LP.
