What was the name of the asian bloke that played guitar with The Apostles? I seem to recall his name was John .....something. And I remember asking Andy Martin to play an Apostles song at some venue in London with an iron staircase that led up into some really sweaty venue. Any idea where that was?

@@paulbeaumont6617 I saw this lot live more times than I can remember and Andy Martin (singer) phoned me up one day and was going on about fantasising about lining skinheads up against a wall and shooting them. Mmmm.....bit too extreme for me. He was weird. Rubella Ballet were much more fun!

@@hopebgood I never seen the apostles play!, I have tapes and live tapes, The apostles were one of the better bands from the anarcho punk genre.. I remember my cousin going to a conflict gig and they were giving away free punk obituary lp, he hated it..

@@paulbeaumont6617 Conflict were much more of a laugh. I was good mates with Colin and especially Paco. But (between me and you) ;) I didn't care for their music much. Too shouty. I always preferred Crass, Poison Girls and Rubella Ballet more.

@@hopebgood yeah I get what you mean, I had mates who knew Colin and Paco (rip), I didn't get too involved. I personally liked conflict gigs at the time, the whole noise and aggressive stance, was good for me.. My first gig was Venom 1985,bl black metal chaos, I knew of crass and poison girls, Annie anxiety prior to that because of the crass marketing I would buy the records, at 51 I now appreciate all of the crass records and related releases

Plus sadly a lot of revisionism and innacuracy in a lot of the chapters (Inc The Apostles one) which simply having those who had been interviewed proof-read their chapters could have easily avoided.

My favorite for sure ❤️
